To Teach

Of all life’s grand professions,
Which we all are free to choose,
There is not one more noble,
Than to fill a teacher’s shoes.

For within a teacher’s heart,
Lives a drive that’s pure and true.
They instill within our children,
The knowledge they will use.

It is a sacred trust,
And it takes a special kind.
For tis not an easy task,
To shape and mold young minds.

They are not our for glory,
Hunting riches or its fame,
Their children are their wealth,
No two are quite the same.

To all teachers past and present,
This poem is addressed.
From a grateful, former student,
Thank you and God Bless…
