Not Forever

If life would last forever,
There’d be no need to plan.
No need to make some time,
To share, just hand in hand.

But God, he made us mortal,
To the earth we all return.
The smart ones live life full,
The fools, refuse to learn.

We all are given choices,
Free to choose the path we walk,
Make life what we want,
Or succomb to idle talk.

Each day that passes by,
Without a memory made.
Tis a day forever gone,
A day that can’t be saved.

So instead of putting off,
Say tomorrow it will come,
Remember we are mortal,
Do today what should be done.
