Holder, Obama, the left and the “race” card

The Corner opens today with a couple of thoughts from liberal activist icon Saul Alinsky and his book “Rules for Radicals”:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history… the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Now consider the following:

Barack Obama is a left wing liberal who believes in big government, control of industry and individuals by that same government, and “re-distribution” of wealth from those who “un-fairly” gained said wealth to those less fortunate not in the name of the “from each according to his ability, from each according to his need” Marx policy that it is, but in the politically correct 1984 newspeak name of “social-justice”. Such policies are the antithesis of American ideals and freedoms as we’ve defended them since our founding and in no uncertain terms bad for the nation.

Barack Obama also happens to be half African-American. African-Americans voted for Obama in 2008 with a 96 percent backing.

Therefore (in the left wing of the asylum anyway) the reason conservatives are so passionately against Barack Obama today cannot have anything to do with his policies, it must be due to his race.

Or in the words of the looniest of the left wing loons, whites just can’t stand the fact that there’s an “uppity negro” in the “White” House.

Then riddle me this: If all the racists are conservative then why oh why is it the left that continually plays the race card and pushes the racist narrative? Policy, it’s pure policy.

Policy so failed and so anathema to what it means to be American that the left has no other option BUT to play the race card.

Take the “Fast and Furious” debacle for instance. A United States Border Patrol again, Brian Terry was killed with one of the guns that Eric Holder’s department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms let “walk” into the arms of Mexican drug cartels yet what does Holder do? Blame it on racism. This little gem courtesy of TheDailyCaller :

In a front page New York Times story on Sunday, Holder alleged that some of his critics — a group he referred to as the “more extreme segment” — are motivated by racism. “This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder said of criticism he has received for the Fast and Furious scandal, among other things. “Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.”

Right there on the front page of this nation’s supposed “newspaper” of record, the Attorney General of the United States dismisses serious charges of “what did he know and when did he know it” regarding an operation so stupid even a dwainbwain could love it with nothing more than:

“Well, I’m black and they’re criticizing me. Obama’s black and they’re criticizing him. So the criticism must be coming at us because we’re black. Because, you know, we’re both black. Did I mention that the President and I are both black?” (For the crazies out there, NO that is not a direct quote.)

Is it any wonder then that the left dutifully repeats the narrative with every chance it gets? When the nation’s top cop plays the race card to deflect his own shortcomings why shouldn’t the left do it’s part to perpetuate the propaganda?

Locally as well we’re subjected to such thought on an all to routine basis.

Just type in “uppity negro” or “scary negro” in the search box over on dwainbwain’s the Erstwhile Conservative blog and you get over a dozen hits. (And that’s just the overt posts, who knows how many more references are buried in the covert posts such as the recent “Keep America American” and “Does MSNBC hide in fear” posts with so many subliminal “conservatives and Republicans are racists” lines playing between the lines even the ol Exalted Cyclops himself, Robert Byrd is looking down in favor.  Allowing comments using the “N” word as used by now dead 20 years Lee Atwater may have no bearing on today’s issues but it plays into the broader “Republicans have been racists forever” so it stays. Subtle, yes. Hypocritical, absolutely. Pertinent, I’m sure he’ll “get back to us on that”.)

Type those same search terms into this repository of independent conservative musings or Anson Burlingame’s, “I’m not sure are you?” blog and you get a return of zero.

Not one hit about the President, Holder or any other black politician being an “uppity” or “scary” negro.

Plenty of posts calling them out as big government, socialist liberals pushing unwanted ideology down the public’s throat, but not a thing about their race being the reason they are opposed by so many.

However, type in debt, deficit, socialism or government on either of said two blogs and you get a collection of policy posts dedicated to the danger that Obama’s and Holder’s POLICIES pose to this nation.

But don’t be too hard on ol D.B. and those loveable lefties. After all it’s not their fault.

When you can’t debate on substance, when you can’t win on policy successes, when you have almost 80 percent of the country opposed to your ideology, what the heck are you supposed to do?

Play the race card, of course.

How else to: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”?

Oh boy, you’ve gone and done it now. Thrown that stuff right at the fan and watching it fly aren’t you?
Nothing the left hates worse than the truth.
And to make it worse, “db” as you call him now thinks he’s even smarter than politifact saying they’re wrong to call the left’s attacks on Ryan and his Medicare plan as the biggest lie of the year.
Yep, that’s intelligence level of our local left. Never mind the professionals, never mind the objective, I’ve got a keyboard and a postal check and I and only I know the “truth”!

    Geoff,

The word search of local blogs is of some interest. But such does not really tell the story, in my view. It is the overall theme of liberal and conservative (mine being one of them) that strikes me as very significant and word searches do not show such differences.

Supposedly liberals try to help the “downtrodden”, those with less than some members of society. But EXACTLY where they draw the distinguishing line, racially, socio-economically, etnnically, etc. is confusing.

On the other hand conservatives supposedly try to help the “rich”, however that might be defined by liberal critics of such. But I have had difficulty defining even a “millionaire” as pointed out in a recent blog. For sure Kobe Bryant is a millionaire, but is he such to be held in disdain by liberals as a fat cat? I’m not sure, are you?

A recent “story” (or was it merely one man’s opinion) on CNN indicates some Dems are considering “giving up” ( electorally) on white, blue collar workers, particularly men. Seems like that encompasses a lot of union workers, traditional Dem supporters.

I do understand this however. In almost all cases the “race accusations” (race card) is “slung” by leftists against conservatives. I don’t know how to do so but a “word search” on the EC blog comments to see how many times over the last three years I have been called a racist would be of some interest, at least to me, to show “numbers” behind that point.

I would point out as well that my recollection of the racist term being “slung” at me almost always occurs when I provide views against Affirmative Action programs today!!!

The search box on his blog doesn’t appear to search comments. I’ve tried putting in “anson racist”, “anson burlingame racist” and nothing comes up, but if you just type in “racist” you get a list long enough to walk to the moon on.

While I agree it doesn’t tell the “whole” story, it does at least shed some light as to who is pushing what.

Take the Globe editorial yesterday admonishing the “sorry coverage” trying to link Romney’s “Keep America America” to an old KKK slogan and label him and conservatives as racist.

It correctly called out the irresponsible behavior of the blogger, and then MSNBC and the Washington Post for continuing the lie. What the editorial missed though was that less than 24 hours after it went out on the web our very own liberal lefty extraordinaire, none other than dear ol dwainbwain graham did the EXACT same thing. Not only did he run with it, he EXPANDED on it.

But then again this IS the same blithiot who feels quite fine in publishing inaccuracies but then lambasts area politicians for not treating him as a “journalist”.

It would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Hmmmmm, now that I’m thinking about it, me thinks I better get some screen shots of that Romney/KKK post he put up. It’s not against him at all to just “delete” comments and posts that he doesn’t like or make him look bad.

Quite picking on Graham. When you’ve only got one brain cell to work with it’s hard to even keep the jammies dry, let alone think.
