Obama the miracle worker “answers” the questions

January 31, 2012

Is this what we've come to?

This morning’s post will seem a bit unusual for regulars. Short and to the point.

While perusing the morning web sites I came across this link on Drudge from Real Clear Politics.com.

It’s a question from an “Occupy” protestor to Dear Leader on one of his never ending taxpayer funded campaign events:

“Mr. President, I voted for you. I’m paying my taxes, I’m unemployed five years now and I need help. I’m 52, what am I going to do? How will I recover from this? Do you have a plan for me?,” the Occupy protester ask.

It’s a cliché to write, “typical liberal” but then again it’s not really a cliché if it’s true is it?  Conservatives “make do” and “can do” while the left just can’t wait to ask “what are you going to do for me, dear government”?

Sums up the choice facing us this November as clear as clear can be:

On one side those of us who still believe that the only real way to help yourself, IS to help yourself. On the other those that expect someone else (ie: Obama and the dems) to do it for them.

Who will you stand with in that booth this fall:

The dwainbwains and Dear Leader, or the eighty percent of this country that showed up in 2010 and said, “enough is enough”?

There are usually some 250 – 300 JOBS advertised in the Globe each Sunday. I wonder how many are in the NYT?

Eighty percent? I don’t know nothing about no stinking eighty percent. So . . . where is it?

Only 20 percent identify as the “liberal” left so that leaves 80 percent as NOT the liberal left trying to ACT like they are more than the one fifth of the population that they truly are.
It’s a very, very vocal minority with the help of the media trying to convince those who don’t follow politics very closely that they are a larger percentage of the populace than they really are.

And you’re point McKnight? Gallup has the two running polls. The one you just cited, the Republican, Democrat, Independent and the “liberal”, “conservative”, “moderate” etc.
Even the one you cite still holds true to the fact that only 20 percent of this nation identifies as “liberal left”, leaving 80 percent as NOT “liberal left”. Yet that one-fifth minority, with the help of the media project themselves as a much more important and larger segment of the electorate than they really are.
If have doubts, check back on the election results of 2010. That “shellacking” Obama took wasn’t from the minority 20 percent.
As Gallup notes in the “conservative” vs “liberal” stats (http://www.gallup.com/poll/152021/conservatives-remain-largest-ideological-group.aspx)not only are conservatives basically DOUBLE the number of “liberals”, for the third year in a row they outnumber even the “moderates”.

BTW, I’m for a balanced budget and reduction in the size and scope of the federal government, but pro-choice regarding women and their bodies, favor complete revamp of the “drug wars” including legalizing marijuana, and believe the “Republican” party was the beginning of the mess that Obama and the “Democrat” party has finished with fanfare. Soooooooo am I a “conservative”, a “moderate”? Who cares, I don’t. All I DO know is the country has been put on an the brink of financial collapse by Obama and his growth of debt and government and the only way to correct it is to reign in the very government he so gladly grows.

On another note, glad to see you drop by. Nothing helps a liberal mind more than getting out of the dwainbwain pool from time to time and drying off in the sunlight of common sense.

    To all,

I too am pro-choice, pro-gun control (but recognize that the 2nd Amendment must be changed to do so), am not “religious” to any degree, believe that national defense should be determined by National Objectives and flow from same, cost NOT being the principle driver, think the “debt will kill us”, believe that we can do NOTHING about debt, until deficits come to zero and stay there, believe entitlements are simply out of control, believe income disparity is personal choice, not one that government can control, etc.

Thus I call myself an “independent conservative”. Now which poll do I sign up for????
