Obama at Ohio State re-writes Founders: Says ‘tyranny’ no threat

President Obama’s commencement message to Ohio State grads this year is to embrace your inner government and fear not the tyranny that liberty distrusts.

Q: If a Marxist, community organizer showed up at your university to deliver the commencement speech what would you call him?

A: If you’re a 2013 Ohio State grad, you’d call him Barack Hussein Obama

Yes, yes I know. Calling the President of the United States a Marxist, community organizer lacks respect and only plays into a stereotype of a being a racist, radical conservative who can’t stand that a black man is in the White House.

 To the distractors I present:

  1. Respect is earned and not given and so far Barack Obama hasn’t earned a damn thing his entire life, let alone the Presidency of the United States

  2. My disgust for him has nothing to do with his skin color. I despise his “white” half as much as his “black”. A traitor is not defined by the color of his skin.

  3. No other President in the history of this great Republic has gone to such lengths, expended untold millions, and used every tool at his disposal to prevent a full and public viewing of his past and his credentials.

So to you lefties lurking about, please, spare me your “outrage” at my refusal to bow before your mortal messiah.

Because if our national politics had not been hijacked by a complicit national press corps, no one, and I do mean no one, except the mortal enemies of this nation and her founding ideals could think for a second that the man who stood up in front of thousands and actually said:

Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems; some of these same voices also doing their best to gum up the works. They’ll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.

was nothing more than a petty demagogue preaching the antithesis of the American ideal.

But our national discourse has been hijacked, our national press corps has been corrupted and our national identity as the last refuge of freedom in a world ravaged by oppression is in more danger today than at any other time in her history.

The blue and the gray may not be sending brother against brother, but trust me, the soul and fate of the Union that Lincoln fought so hard to save is again at war against itself.

Bullets may not be flying but Old Glory is being ripped to shreds none the less.

Flying under the false flags of “fairness” and “social justice”, Obama has rallied an army of millions marching to the tune of “more, more, more”.

To those of us who actually know American history, who understand the reason behind her founding, the genius of her Founders, the beauty of our Constitution, such a tune is nothing more than a drunkard’s chorus for one more round on his tab before he’s carted off to bankruptcy.

But to the ignorant, the angry, the slothful it’s an easy tune to march to.

Who wouldn’t want “more” of anything and everything if they didn’t have to pay for it?

It IS far easier to demand “your” government just take your “fair” share and redistribute it than it is for you to actually make your own shares is it not?

But what about those of us who have to pay for that manufactured out of thin air “fair” share? Where’s OUR voice?

Who speaks for those having to PAY for all the “fairness” Obama claims is demanded if we are to be a “just” nation? (Hint for the lefties: It’s NOT, Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall-Davis, Bill Ayers, Karl Marx, Lenin, Mao or either of the Castro brothers.)

OUR voice comes not from democracy’s enemies but from her fathers, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Adams, Paine, Washington, and untold more.

OUR voice is not the screech of hate and envy preached from a pulpit of divisiveness.

OUR voice is not “what can your government do for you today”?

OUR voice is not “you are only as good as your government prepares you to be”.

OUR voice is not “you didn’t build that”.

I wonder how many of those Ohio State grads even have a clue that to the Founding Fathers who penned the quotes below, Obama’s government “tyranny” was top of mind to each and every one of them when they struck out on their own and forged the greatest country the world has ever known. (Publisher’s note: I have intentionally left off individual quote credit from each Founder. They all spoke as one then and still do today, no matter what Obama tells you.)

OUR voice flows from the well of “We hold these truths….and…..We the people” and waters the roots of liberty each and every day with the likes of:

How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!

It is a very great mistake to imagine that the object of loyalty is the authority and interest of one individual man, however dignified by the applause or enriched by the success of popular actions

I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.

Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.

A nation under a well regulated government, should permit none to remain uninstructed. It is monarchical and aristocratical government only that requires ignorance for its support.

The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule

If it be asked, What is the most sacred duty and the greatest source of our security in a Republic? The answer would be, An inviolable respect for the Constitution and Laws — the first growing out of the last…. A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government.

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearsome master.”

Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God

A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.

Arbitrary power is most easily established on the ruins of liberty abused to licentiousness.

Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.

But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

Human government is more or less perfect as it approaches nearer or diverges farther from the imitation of this perfect plan of divine and moral government.

Fear is the foundation of most governments; but it is so sordid and brutal a passion, and renders men in whose breasts it predominates so stupid and miserable, that Americans will not be likely to approve of any political institution which is founded on it.

It is a common observation here [Europe] that our cause is the cause of all mankind, and that we are fighting for their liberty in defending our own. It is a glorious task assigned us by Providence, which has, I trust, given us spirit and virtue equal to it, and will at last crown it with success.

There is no Form of Government but what may be a Blessing to the People if well administred; and I believe farther that this is likely to be well adminstred for a Course of Years, and can only end in Despotism as other Forms have done before it, when the People shall become so corrupted as to need Despotic Government, being incapable of any other.

Among the numerous advantages promised by a well-constructed Union, none deserves to be more accurately developed than its tendency to break and control the violence of faction.

An elective despotism was not the government we fought for; but one in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among the several bodies of magistracy as that no one could transcend their legal limits without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.

And the one voice from the past most appropriate for the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania:

Here comes the orator! With his flood of words, and his drop of reason.

Now my fellow Americans, which VOICE serves this nation better?

The one, singular divisive voice of Barack Hussein Obama or the multiple united voices of liberty put forth by our Founders?

The voice of an arrogant, narcissistic community organizer who puts his own pleasure above the welfare of the nation or the voice that said:

We Mutually Pledge To Each Other Our Lives, Our Fortunes And Our Sacred Honor

and then went to war against the mightiest military power on the planet to secure it?

Yes indeed, which “voice” indeed.

As “dis-respectful” as the left will whine, I conclude this column with my own individual voice:

Obama is no more American than there is an ounce of America in Obama.

Harsh yes, but how else to describe a President of the United States who actually has the gall to stand in front of college graduates and tell them that rather than listening to the voices of America’s founding, they should listen to him instead?

Tea or tyranny, which shall it be? We already know Obama’s choice.
