Friday Follies: Sandra Fluke, another Obama radical, Black angst, Transgender bathroom ‘equality’ and School takes food from kids

January 31, 2014

Sandra Fluke, a radical Obama nominee, “don’t want to be called black” blacks at the University of Minnesota, transgender bathroom “equality” and a school district literally taking food away from elementary school children, the Follies just never end.

”Tis that time once again when we take stock of the inane and foolish put upon us by those forced to navigate life with an amount of gray matter just slightly larger than that found in your average toad.”

#5  Do you know what a “Social Justice Attorney” is?  I’m willing to bet you don’t.  But I’m also willing to bet you’ll recognize the name of someone who says she is just exactly that.  One of the first foot soldiers for Obama’s “War on Women” she burst onto the public scene when she was the only witness before a Nancy Pelosi orchestrated fake Democrat hearing on “reproductive rights” back in February, 2012.

Her name is Sandra Fluke, yes THAT Sandra Fluke and it seems she’s having some trouble finding gainful private sector employment so she’s doing what any good left winger does when they can’t make it on their own:  mulling a run for public office.

Yep, you read it right, seems Ms.  “I wanna play and you’re gonna pay” free birth control pinup gal is mulling jumping into the fray for retiring Henry Waxman’s House seat.  And as crazy as that sounds, remember first that it’s not just California, it’s Los Angeles and second she is of the party that sends the likes of Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters and Frederica Wilson back to Congress term after trough feeding term.

#4  Speaking of lawyers.  President Obama has nominated one of the worst of the worst to be the new head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.  His name is Debo Adegbile and one of his proudest “achievements” was to get the death sentence of convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal overturned.

Maureen Faulkner, the widow of slain officer Daniel Faulkner is asking to testify at Adegbile’s nomination hearing saying in a January 14th letter to Judiciary Chairman Senator Patrick Leahy:

“Officers who knew Danny, and who like him put their lives on the line every day, must now witness Adgebile, a man proud to have chosen to aid the murderer of their friend, singled out for honors and high office by the government of the United States,”…“It is an abomination to now reward Mr. Adgebile as if he had done something wonderful.”

And Mrs. Faulkner is not alone in her disgust.  In a letter to President Obama, Chuck Canterbury, President of the Fraternal Order of Police put it this way:

“This nomination can be interpreted in only one way: it is a thumb in the eye of our nation’s law enforcement officers,”

Mr. Obama has not publicly responded to Mr. Canterbury’s concerns but sources say that privately the President is outraged that again the police are “acting stupidly”. (sarc)

#3  Continuing with the law enforcement theme is another illustration that when left to run its natural course, idiocy will trump intellect every time.  Seems some “brilliant” University of Minnesota students are demanding that future crime alerts drop racial descriptions in their dispatches of suspects.

According to the CBSLOCAL account:

School officials at the University of Minnesota are working with black student and facility organizations after they wrote a letter to the school’s president about the racial descriptions given in crime alerts.

The letter, sent on Dec. 6, 2013, was issued by members of the African American and African Studies, Black Faculty and Staff Association, Black Graduate and Professional Student Association, Black Men’s Forum, Black Student Union and Huntley House for African American Males.

And Ian Taylor Jr., the President of one of those organizations, the Black Men’s Forum departed this gem of wisdom at a forum on Wednesday:

“The repeated black, black, black suspect,” Taylor said. “And what that does it really discomforts the mental and physical comfort for students on campus because they feel like suspicions begin to increase.”

Which prompted this online reply from yours truly:

Future dispatch training for U of M cops:

“Be on the lookout for a melanin strong bi-ped lacking in Y chromosome last seen running west on Protected Class Boulevard. Victim is a melanin challenged XY chromosoned biped in need of medical assistance.”

The hypocrisy in members of the race identifying “African American and African Studies, Black Faculty and Staff Association, Black Graduate and Professional Student Association, Black Men’s Forum, Black Student Union and Huntley House for African American Males.” groups whining about race being included to describe crime suspects is one thing, that fact that such ignorance was even given a hearing is even worse.

#2  Transitioning to a regular Folly topic, political correctness run amok, the Maine Supreme Court for its perfectly politically correct but absolutely insane decision that the Asa Adams School in Orono, Maine violated the “rights” of one Nicole Maines back in 2007 when administrators required the transgender (she is actually a he but “identifies” as a she) student to use a unisex staff bathroom rather than let the biological boy use his bathroom of choice, which was of course the girls bathroom.

From the actual decision:

“Decisions about how to address students’ legitimate gender identity issues are not to be taken lightly,”….“Where, as here, it has been clearly established that a student’s psychological well-being and educational success depend upon being permitted to use the communal bathroom consistent with her gender identity, denying access to the appropriate bathroom constitutes sexual orientation discrimination.”

Hey, Main Supreme Court:  What about the psychological well-being of the thousands of other students who don’t quite like the idea of little Johnny waltzing into Jenny’s bathroom just because that’s who he “identifies” with?

No one is arguing against reasonable accommodation but for the Maine Supreme Court to say it’s not enough for a school to provide gender neutral bathrooms for gender confused students, and that they must open the stalls to whomever and whatever shows just how far over the cliff this nation as fallen.

#1  And a couple thousand miles to the west comes another story from the wizards of wonder that are running our schools.  Seems some pin head bureaucrat at the Uintah Elementary School in Salt Lake City discovered on Monday morning that some parents were behind on payments for school lunches for their little darlings.

According to the DailyMail story, the school district’s child nutrition department discovered the past due balances on Monday, but were unable to reach all the parents by Tuesday lunch.  Never the less, action just HAD to be taken.

So they did what any self-respecting idiot would do:  They let the trays of the little spawns of dead beat parents get filled with hot food and then promptly and publicly took them away and dumped the contents in the trash.  A piece of fruit and milk was the replacement.

And yes, children were calling their parents in tears.  And no, these were not large amounts. Trays were pulled from students with negative amounts as low as $2 and $4 bucks.

Yet a $9 billion “cut” in the riddled with fraud food stamp program over the next ten years  is being railed against by every liberal toad brain in the country as going to bring about the end of the world as we know it.  (Note for you libs that I know lurk about here: The Food Stamp program has more than DOUBLED in the years your Dear Leader came to power and at the current funding of $80 billion a year, that $9 billion “cut” amounts to a whopping ONE PERCENT cut over a DECADE!)

When it’s more important to let a transgender student choose which bathroom he/she wants to use and educrats can publicly humiliate students over trivial amounts I have serious doubts that this country is even capable of maintaining the Republic that the Founders entrusted to us.

I have a “Pray for our Country” sign displayed under the U.S. Flag that I fly every day in my yard.  If you want one, email me, I’ll make arrangements to get you one.  America certainly needs some prayers right now.

As always, thanks for reading, have a great weekend and I’ll see ya round the Corner.
