Obama – Merkel press conference reveals more Presidential delusions on Benghazi and economy

May 3, 2014

If you’re still thinking Barack Obama’s “Hope, change and fundamental transformation” b.s. or that Joe Biden got it right when he praised him as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” then you better start thinking again and you better start doing a lot of it.

Since winning re-election Barack Obama has doubled down on the division and class warfare, tripled down on expanding government through executive fiat and regulatory edict, and has painted a picture of himself in his mirror so arrogant, so dismissive, so absolutely delusional that if America and the world survives until 2017 without a devastating crisis of Obama’s own befuddled making, it will be nothing short of a miracle.

While there will always be the dwainbwains who will support this demagogue down each and every step to the deepest pits of hell, millions of others are slowly starting to realize that when I wrote in 2008:

In short Obama is no “new” politician at all. He is in fact the worst of the worst. A ruthless Chicago machine pol who will say anything, promise everything, and step on anyone to achieve political office. No principles, no morals, just pure political posturing. If it wasn’t for the media being in love with this guy, he’d have never made it out of the primaries.

But sadly, he did and even sadder; our sorrow is only beginning.

the words were not to pump up my own ego, or to hyperbolate for partisan cause, they were, in all honesty and reality, a very real warning of the very real danger to come if a man such as Barack Obama and the sycophants that followed him were to be handed the levers of power of the American government.

And all anyone needs to do is look at two parts of the President’s press conference yesterday with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and they will see up front and center a man that not only has not a clue the words that come out of his mouth, but a man that has such disconnect from the American people that he would actually think such words are still received as relevant.

First, there’s this clip:

First, as president, my top priority is doing everything that we can to create more jobs and opportunity for hardworking families, for our economic strength is a source of strength in the world. And this morning we learned that our businesses created 273,000 new jobs last month. All told, our businesses have now created 9.2 million new jobs over 50 consecutive months of job growth.

The grit and determination of the American people are moving us forward, but we have to keep a relentless focus on job creation and creating more opportunities for working families. There’s plenty more that Congress should be doing, from raising the minimum wage to creating good construction jobs rebuilding America. And I want to work with them wherever I can, but I keep acting on my own wherever I must to make sure every American who works hard has the chance to get ahead.

It’s one thing to bold face mislead about the minimum wage and ignore the types of jobs created (part time, temporary, and low paying) it’s quite another to do it while standing next to another Head of State in what is supposed to be a joint press conference on joint issues, not Obama’s propaganda.

But it’s the “creating good construction jobs” and “I keep acting on my own wherever I must” that is laughable. His EPA alone is doing more to kill good jobs than anything in this country.

And yes, I’ll say it again, and again, and again and again, until he either does it on his own or is forced by Congress and the American people: if your words are really words of truth Mr. President than for crying out loud, pick up your pen and APPROVE THE KEYSTONE XL already.

Even hypocrisy shakes its head at this President. For it never dreamed it would be given an opportunity to shine so often in front of so many. And to do so behind the Presidential seal no less.

But Obama outdid even his own hypocrisy when he took to describing the crisis in Ukraine:

And as Ukrainian forces move to restore order in eastern Ukraine, it is obvious to the world that these Russian-backed groups are not peaceful protesters. They are heavily armed militants who are receiving significant support from Russia.

and the lecturing continues later:

…The notion that this is some spontaneous uprising in eastern Ukraine is belied by all the evidence of well- organized, trained, armed militias with the capacity to shoot down helicopters.

Generally local protesters don’t possess that capacity of surface-to- air missiles or whatever weapons were used to shoot down helicopters, tragically….

While both statements are absolutely true, they become laughable when rolling off the lips of the man who denied the very same truths when it came to Americans under attack in Benghazi, Libya.

If only those obvious truths of Ukraine today had been honestly reported to the American people on September 12, 2012:

…..it is obvious to our CIA station chief for the area and to our military commanders closest to the situation that these attackers were not protesters angry over an internet video. They were heavily armed militants trained in military tactics who had the skills to mount a prolonged, coordinated attack complete with devastating mortar fire. While our ongoing investigation will undoubtedly reveal more in the days and weeks ahead, our intelligence agencies know that the cowards who perpetrated these attacks on our consulate in Benghazi are being supported by elements of Ansar al-Shari’a and other elements of Al Qaeda affiliated terrorist organizations…………..

And you get the truth as it was already known to the White House within 24 hours of the attack on our consulate in Benghazi on the night of September 11, 2012 that cost Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods their lives.

But to be fair to Obama, he really might not have actually known that truth since we now know that he didn’t even care enough to be in the situation room that night and the very next day he had much more pressing matters to attend to: political fundraisers in Nevada.

Yet even after the release this week of a Ben Rhodes email clearly showing it was the White House, not the military, not the CIA, not anyone other than political hacks pushing the “it was the video” narrative, Press Secretary Jay Carney doing the best Baghdad Bob impression ever, stood at the podium and flatly denied that the email was about Benghazi.

Thank God Obama wasn’t President when Richard Heyser took those pictures of Soviet missiles in Cuba.
