Friday Follies: Scott Walker’s ‘Unions R Isis’ non-gaffe, gaffe, Marie Harf’s Jihadi John egg, and Racist trigonometry

February 27, 2015

Scott Walker comparing unions to ISIS, comrade Obama’s FCC takes over the internet, Jihadi John didn’t need a job after all, and trigonometry is racist.

Yep it’s Friday, it’s Follies and Tis that time once again when we take stock of the inane and lame put upon us by those forced to navigate life with an amount of gray matter just slightly larger than that found in your average toad.

Featured Folly:

Media’s made up Scott Walker’s Unions – R – ISIS crime The moment he said it, it was only a matter of time, seconds to be exact. The microbes clinging to the planet destroying CO2 that he’d just exhaled hadn’t gotten ten feet from his mouth when the media “AHA!” started to form.

Walker’s “crime” was responding to an ISIS question at CPAC 2015 with this:

I want a commander in chief who will do everything in their power to ensure that the threat from radical Islamic terrorists does not wash up on American soil. If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world.”If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world.”

With newly washed pajama armor and basement supplies freshly stocked, lefty bloggers from Bangor to Bend and their media big brothers in New York and Washington pounced. The false headlines were not to be left unwritten:

Union busting Walker compares American workers to ISIS terrorists

Walker claims unions are terrorists

Walker promises to kill union members like he will ISIS

OK, the last one might be a stretch but considering the likes of the Daily Kos and Media Matters crowd and the fact that there are literally thousands of DwainBwains out there dutifully spewing left wing hate with the stroke of every key it’s actually plausible that one of those lunatics wrote something akin to it.

Wait a minute, hold on, something’s coming across the wire………a newsflash……….Caldwell right again, local blithiot blogger falls for Walker union = terrorists b.s., see below:

If you can restrain yourself from puking up your lunch, you may recall that Walker’s efforts in Wisconsin to destroy public employee unions wasn’t exactly popular with working people, and thousands came out to protest and show their disapproval. It is those protesters—working men and women—whom he compares to Islamist zealots and psychopaths who have committed unspeakable crimes against humanity.

If Walker actually HAD compared American workers to ISIS terrorists I will be the first to admit that while I probably would have had enough gastrointestinal control not to expel my stomach contents onto the floor, I would be one of the first to condemn him and send him off to the Siberia of politics.

Undeterred by reality, Joplin’s local village idiot just couldn’t help himself:

It has become quite clear that Walker is the favorite among the worst of the worst on the far right……………Comparing union protesters to Islamist killers will only endear Walker to the legions of union-hating freaks on the right, and should Walker wrestle the Republican nomination from the well-funded third leg of the Bush triumvirate, Walker can absolutely count on one thing: union people won’t forget what he has said and, more important, what he has done.

But that’s not what Walker did and anyone not forced to navigate life with the brain equivalent of a toad knows that.

White House Dossier publisher, Keith Koffler was one of the first to identify the hysteria and stupidity of such claims. From his Walker, the Wisconsin Unions, and ISIS: Bravo! piece:

I’ve grown so, stupendously sick of what has become a routinely emitted burst of inanity by the intellectually crippled, some of whom are our putative thought leaders: That if you mention two things together in a sentence, you think they are alike…..

.Let’s all step out of the Stupid Room for a second……..

.it is obvious to anyone whose head is still on their shoulders that Walker is comparing the act of standing up to one group to the act of standing up another. Not the groups. The action. The fortitude it takes to risk your political future, be resolute, be uncompromising when needed, and to ignore the weaklings around you who want to cave or make a bad deal…..

Koffler goes on to remind his readers of how it is now known that Ronald Reagan’s resolute action against the striking air traffic controllers union it caused the Soviet Union to understand “they were dealing with someone quite different than Reagan’s predecessor. It had a serious effect.”

An effect that as history now records, led to the fall of the Soviet Union and an end to the Cold War. That is, until Obama’s doctrine of American Apologism re-started it. But I digress.

While I am certain there is much union crowd hate directed at Scott Walker right now, what the DwainBwains never acknowledge, is that Walker’s views on public unions are not fringe right wing union busting thoughts.

Walker’s views are in fact over 75 years old and rooted in a man who said it like it was when it came to public unions:

…Organization on their part to present their views on such matters is both natural and logical, but meticulous attention should be paid to the special relationships and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government.

All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress……….

Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of Government employees. …This obligation is paramount. ….. a strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government until their demands are satisfied. Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government by those who have sworn to support it, is unthinkable and intolerable.”

The above quotes are from a letter written to Mr. Luther C. Steward, President, National Federation of Federal Employees by none other than the champion among champions of the left, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

FDR was adamantly against the idea of government binding itself through collective bargaining as the employees themselves were already part of the government.

In essence, if government employees did not like the government pay scale, benefits, hours etc…they as part of said government were fully within their rights to change said government (management) at the ballot box and have laws passed in a legitimate manner by representatives of all the people and not just a bargaining unit few.

And you’ve got to love the hypocrisy of the left when it shouts support for its union brothers and sisters in Wisconsin when one of the greatest heroes of the left side of the Democrat Party made it clear he would have been adamantly against the very militant tactics unions encourage today.

But I think what gets the left really riled is that for all their smug self righteousness, for all their claims that they are for the “working people” (while the unions bosses and their Democratic allies rake in millions), for all their false headlines and hype, they know down deep they’re losing.

Losing in the fact that public unions are an abomination to the very concept of unions in the first place. Government entities do not produce a profit in which the workers have a right to bargain for a share. As FDR expressed, government IS the people. Don’t like it, go work in the private sector.

Losing in the fact that private unions long ago stopped looking out for the average American worker in favor of junkets, meetings and conventions with Democrat party leaders. There are few things more un-American than a union that has to have forced collection of dues to keep itself financially viable. When the unions take care of its members, the members contribute to the union.

They can blame lack of message, lack of organization, bad faith negotiations, hateful ring wingers, hell, they can blame climate change for all I care, but when the truth is told, when you’re 0 and 3 in Wisconsin, Wisconsin for crying out loud, the problem isn’t anything else, the problem is you.

Until the left realizes it’s more the problem than the solution the sooner this country will get back on track and all those good paying jobs so many Americans now need will once again become available.

Like the thousands of good paying union jobs that are just waiting to provide paychecks if our petulant child President would put America’s interests above the wishes of Tom Steyer and George Soros and sign rather than veto the Keystone pipeline.

Who will eventually win the Oval in 2016 is anybody’s guess right now but when it comes to who it should be, I’m with Koffler when he wrote of Walker:

“This is exactly, after six years of purified presidential pusillanimity, what America needs.”

Let that sink in for a moment: “Purified presidential pusillanimity”.

Granted, it has far too many syllables for the lefties to comprehend, but for the rest of us it’s one of the best, most to the point descriptions of the Obama years to date.

And what America needs absolutely the opposite of if she is to survive.

As always thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend and I’ll see ya round the corner.

China censorship sweep deletes more than 60,000 Internet accounts Now that comrade Obama’s FCC has officially voted to take over the internet using a 1930’s law to regulate 21st century technology how long before Uncle Sam starts his sweep?

We might be able to get a better idea of how much time we’ve but but, oops, the democrat controlled FCC now won’t even release the regs it just voted to impose.

Jihadi John was college educated with middle class upbringing Ruh roh. Along with rocks in her head it looks like Marie Harf has egg on her face as well. Seems ISIS most famous be-header didn’t come to his profession out of poverty or lack of a job but rather arrived at his current station in life because he’s just another sick, twisted Islamic radical who blamed everyone but himself for his problems rather than the putrid punk in the mirror.

Trigonometry is Racist! From Kevin D. Williamson over at

An African-American scholar says that emphasis on STEM education is bad for blacks.

Earlier today on Sirius XM Urban View, an African-American talk station, the guest was Daryl Scott, president of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. The conversation turned to STEM — science, technology, engineering, and math — education, and the origins of the ongoing push to encourage institutions and students to focus on those subjects.

Can you guess what happened?

In 1983, the guest explained, a commission impaneled by the secretary of education issued a report titled “A Nation at Risk: The Imperative for Education Reform.” In a memorable phrase, it warned of “a rising tide of mediocrity” in the nation’s public schools. That phrase, he said, was a “euphemism.” A euphemism for what? “For us — for African Americans.”

There is nothing that happens in these United States that will not be impugned as secret racism. Nothing.

And that my fellow Americans is what Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton and the rest of the cowardly left have done to race relations in America.

In their 24/7 push of the left’s victim-hood and entitlement ideology at the expense of personal responsibility and making good choices, anything and everything is now all filtered down to one single cause: racism.

It’s as untrue as untrue can be, but the truth doesn’t line the pockets or fill the ballot box, so it is must be squashed. Else the hustlers find themselves unemployed and the power restored to the people instead of the politicians.
