……….Yet after looking back over the trail of foreign and domestic carnage of the last eight years I make no apologies when I openly admit I am counting down the end of the Obama administration with as much anticipation for the future as I did almost half a century ago as a wide eyed Kansas kid following the lead up to Neil Armstrong’s “one small step for man….” mission to the moon. ………..

………How deep is Mr. Obama’s self-deception? Consider this opening statement: “As I address this hall as President for the final time, let me recount the progress that we’ve made these last eight years……..Such hubris makes Neville Chamberlain’s 1938 “I believe it is peace for our time” seem down right harmless. (As long as you forget about that whole World War II thing of course.)………

……….Anyone willing to look behind the Central Banks of Oz curtain knows the world economies are standing upon a low interest rate, money printing, currency manipulation house of cards, that there are more terrorist havens today than when the Great and powerful O snagged his ever so premature Nobel Peace Prize, and North Korea and Iran’s $150 billion bonus deal put nuclear proliferation on the verge of its greatest breakout in human history…………..

………Thankfully such thinking has but only four months left. Or does it?

Hillary Clinton has pledged to “build” upon Obama’s legacy…..to be elected on a platform of compounding the failures of the past on the ignorance of the present is more than just the antithesis of our Founding Father’s dream, more than our future’s worst nightmare, it is a far too possible reality.

While some push fear of a “what if” Trump Presidency, it is the “what will” certainty of a Clinton one that scares the hell out of me.

…………….If you answered yes to the above, please find a mirror.  What do you see?  Reason and logic says the person staring back at you is a constitutional conservative that believes every current generation has an obligation to pass along to future generations its freedoms secured and its books balanced.

But by the identity politics of today the image in your mirror is that of a racist, bigoted, xenophobic monster.  You know that’s not true, I know that’s not true, but as we’ve witnessed far too often the past 20 years, the truth no longer matters.

Only the political end game counts these days………………..

……………..And when a national media, desperate to advance its “cops kill” narrative, pushed out the “Hands up, don’t shoot” lie, it wasn’t a lie.  It was just an editorial error that got out of control.  (Never mind the police officers killed in its wake.)

As long as you’re on the “correct” side of the politics, all is forgiven.

So what is an honest citizen to do in this era of lies rewarded and truth discarded?

Know your history, know your facts.  Stay true to the Constitution and the founders and the God that guided them.  You won’t get invited to the “perfect people” parties, but you will be able to sleep at night knowing you place your country above their meme of the day.

Never forget that while whether or not George Orwell actually said the words:  “In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act” is a debatable point, the truth within them is not.

And take note that while this current march to statism may seem inevitable today, it would be folly to underestimate the power of millions of “revolutions of one”, armed with the truth, acting on behalf of their children’s tomorrows.

There is no doubt that there is trouble in America today.

Will more police stations be fired upon?  Will police officers continue to be targeted for murder simply because they wear the uniform?

Should we expect more public streets and interstates shut down as the Black Lives Matter group ignores the rule of law?………………..

……………..As long as those breaking the law know their protection reaches all the way to the Oval Office there will be no peace.

The fuse of lawlessness lit by politics those 7 years ago is now at the powder house door.  Will it be snuffed out in time, or is an explosion of anarchy now inevitable?

I pray for the former, but am prepared for the latter.

Because as George Washington noted: “When one side only of a story is heard and often repeated, the human mind becomes impressed with it insensibly.”  And because there is none better at telling only one side of a story than the Obama administration.

Prepare your soul America, it is about to be tried.


America’s silent majority, silent no mas

They rise with the sun, some even before. In the city they catch the first leg of a four transfer cross town commute to hold on to that must have job. In the country they’re feeding the livestock, milking the cows or fueling the machinery that feeds the world. In kitchens north to south, east to west, lunches are packed, homework is checked and backpacks filled. And across the nation, they prepare the shop to switch on the “open” sign.

They claim no special privilege, they demand no extra benefits. They just want to raise their families and live their lives in the manner that their God and the Founding Fathers intended. Where “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” isn’t just a slogan from history but exercised each and every day.

And they are tired.

They are tired of being called racists, homophobes, xenophobes, bigots, misogynists, intolerant, fear mongers, hate mongers, or whatever phrase du jur the enforcers of political correctness have concocted to shut down debate and force conformity.

“…….Therefore, ask not “Why didn’t she just come clean at the beginning?” She had good reasons to lie; she is in the longtime habit of lying; and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends……..”

Safire’s words were published January 8, 1996, and as of the end of testimony January 23, 2013 one Hillary Rodham Clinton has still “never been called to account”.

Rest in peace “Benghazi Four” and may one day, someone, somewhere, finally bring accountability to the one responsible for your deaths.

If there’s one word that defines Bill and Hillary Clinton’s political careers it’s cash. Cold, hard, get us into that top1 percent as fast as you can, cash.

Like a southern warden’s blood hound, the Clinton’s can smell a buck no matter where it’s hiding.

From turning a mere $1,000 into a $100k in the cattle futures market, to renting out the Lincoln bedroom to top political donors while in the White House, to multi-million dollar advances for books that only acolytes read, to collecting up to a cool half million for speeches, when it comes to using their public “service” to put cash in their pockets no one is better at collecting cash, than Mr. and Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton.

And until now, the Clinton honed politics of personal destruction has been an impregnable defense against any suggestion of impropriety as to how they got said cash.

No matter the accusation, no matter the charge, if it’s critical of a Clinton the response is the same: Attack and distract…………..

The crackled voice came out of the speakers with a tone of entitlement Marie Antoinette would have envied:  “Don’t you someday want to see a woman President of the United States of America”? Asked the perennial chaser of Presidential power, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

And why not?  She’s been angling for the job ever since she boarded that train to Little Rock, Arkansas in ’74 and took up residence with one William Jefferson Clinton.

Neither miraculous cattle futures profits, nor bimbo eruptions, nor secret email servers shall deter her from her appointed round with destiny.

……….Throughout the day and into the pub hours I kept getting asked:  Why?  What had happened “across the pond” that for the first time in decades, the Republican Party now controlled both congressional chambers?

To which I had a one word answer:  Hillary.  Explaining how the impetus for the anger began with an unelected Hillary Clinton trying to force upon the voters a top down, government mandated health system.  Instinctively they knew the intrusions into their privacy to come and they made clear they wanted no part of it……………..

………..Combine that “Hillarycare” debacle with her less than stellar performance as a staffer on the Watergate committee twenty years earlier, add some magical cattle futures profits, toss in the Rose Law firm records miraculously appearing in the White House residence nearly two years after being subpoenaed, the Travelgate purge, the real war she waged against women that dared speak out on the behavior of her husband, and the ethically challenged, political piranha portrait that emerges is anything but flattering.

So it comes as no surprise that when she began her stint as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chose to ignore Presidential direction and set up a private server in her home that bypassed the required government systems.  She has always thought herself above the laws and rules of the peasants, why should her emails be any different?

When I ended my July 4, 2016 column with “Happy 240th America.  And here’s to your 250th….if you can make it.” I had no idea that barely 24 hours later I would be thinking to myself “forget 250, at this rate we’ll be lucky to make 241.” ………

…………….For a brief, (very brief) few moments I found myself actually believing that after all the abuses it has taken the past few years, the rule of law was finally going to get its day in court.

But then Comey took it upon himself to ignore his own words “In our system, the prosecutors make the decisions about whether charges are appropriate” and assumed the role of both judge and jury to declare that no charges would be recommended……………..

……………….Now, for having no “intent” and for doing far less than what the FBI discovered Hillary & Co. did, Bryan H. Nishimura got two years of probation, was fined $7500 and “ordered to surrender any currently held security clearance and to never again seek such a clearance.”

His life is ruined while Hillary’s free to resume her heroine of history tour.

That folks is the difference between being just another random American having to live under the law and being a Clinton allowed to skate above it.

In the past two weeks, the Republic party nominated an outsider that vanquished 16 others with decades of political experience and the Democrats became the first major political party to nominate a woman for the Presidency of the United States.

Both historic moments, but the award for most energetic denial of reality and shoveling of political bovine excrement definitely goes to the Democrats……………..

…………..There is no doubt that many will rush to join Hillary’s “change maker” army.  And with glazed eyes and automated thought they’ll march in lockstep without even a clue that the history they’re making is the very history that will crush their children and grandchildren under a mountain of debt and rights stripping regulations.

Yes, Thursday night was an historic moment in American history.  But making history for history’s sake is a dangerous path.  Don’t believe me?  Just look at the past 8 years.

Ever since his rambling June 16th Presidential candidate announcement that included: “When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. […] They are sending people that have lots of problems…They are bringing drugs and they are bringing crime and their rapists, and some are good people, and I speak to border guards and they tell us what we are getting.” the headlines against Donald Trump have been brutal.

Yet those headlines hide the real news behind the comment: that Trump is tapping into a level of frustration and disgust with the status-quo that has millions of Americans saying “it’s about time”.

Lost in the rush to protect political correctness are Trump’s other points on: Stagnant economic growth and wages, trade agreements benefiting corporations over American workers, Obamacare crushing doctors, patients and business, and the absolute disaster that is the Obama foreign policy.

Working and middle class America is sick and tired, mad as hell, and just plain fed up with what both political parties are forcing upon them.

Beyond the marbled halls of Washington D.C., the television studios of New York, and the political correctness run amok on our college campuses and in our largest cities are “the people”. They number in the tens of millions and they are long past Howard Beale’s “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore”……………….

………….In just 75 years we have gone from a nation that birthed the Greatest Generation to an “everyone gets a trophy” – “I want mine” societal suicide pact. That is more than a passing disappointment, that is a national disgrace.

Trump can be vilified six ways from Sunday, but killing the messenger won’t silence the message. Ignoring the issues driving his support will only further divide an already fractured nation. Any politician or pundit refusing to recognize that would do well to remember another phrase from the 90’s coined by that fictional history interloper extraordinaire, one Forrest Gump: “stupid is, as stupid does.”

Trump/Gump 2016? Sounds crazy yes, but would it really be any worse that what we’ve already got?

President Obama has shown himself to be a chronic sufferer of the malady but the acute attack he had this past Tuesday during what was supposed to be a joint press conference with the Singapore Prime Minister on trade was one for the ages. Unable to control himself, activist Obama left Mr. Lee standing in limbo as he went off on yet another lecture on domestic politics………………

………….Throw in that chemical weapons are again being used behind Mr. Obama’s magical “red line” in Syria, the chaos he left behind in Libya, his ISIS “JV” team that have caused dozens of deaths right here at home, and you have 8 years of failure after failure after failure.

Failures that are not a fantasy of what “might be”, but facts backed up by the graves in the ground.

Donald Trump can be rude, crude and socially cringe-worthy, yet among he, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Trump is the only one who has ever employed people and signed the paychecks, the only one who has ever built something other than debt and regulation, and the only one who hasn’t lived off the taxpayer and political donors his entire adult life.

Hate Donald Trump all you want, but before Obama and Clinton start parroting the “qualified and accomplished” meme, they’d best do themselves, and the country, a favor and buy themselves a mirror. Heck, I bet Trump would even pay for it. With his own money.

……….Contrary to what the main stream media and the D.C. elites say a Trump supporter is, I am not a xenophobic, racist bigot who hates everyone and everything not fitting within the stereotype of the middle age angry white male……….

……….I’m not against immigration, I just want it done legally and within the rule of law based upon our historical immigration policies ……..

………..I could care less what your race, ethnicity, religion or gender identification of the day is as long as you put first and foremost in your life the Constitution of these United States and everything that entails. ……..

…………..And while I too have cringed at what has come out of Trump’s mouth, the thought of a Hillary Clinton Presidency and the abuses of power and ripping into the Bill of Rights that such would bring is a thought that should not be contemplated without medical supervision. Those not willing to look beyond the media meme and politically orchestrated outrages of the day miss the gravity of what at stake for this beloved nation. ………….

……………..Electing Trump President guarantees he will be on the shortest leash of any President in our history. With 100 percent of the Democrats and half if not more of Republicans in Congress already hating the man, Trump would have but two choices: Govern within the bounds of the Constitution or find himself impeached in his first 100 days. …………

………….Yet all that’s been delivered is more debt, lower wages, and higher costs for food, utilities and healthcare on the domestic front while the international front is in more disarray than at anytime since the end of World War II.

We can sell out our children for soundbites and platitudes and bury their future under more Clinton corruption or we can take the first step to putting this nation back onto the path of limited government and maximum liberty it was founded on.

We can give in to manufactured fear of the Tyrant from Queens or we can trust in the Founding Fathers and the document they gave us to deal with Tyrants.

Which is why I’ll take constitutionally constrained Trump over an unrestrained Clinton any day. It is, the only safe choice.

And finally, I can’t get them to understand that I just don’t trust this guy…………In short Obama is no “new” politician at all. He is in fact the worst of the worst. A ruthless Chicago machine pol who will say anything, promise everything, and step on anyone to achieve political office. No principles, no morals, just pure political posturing. If it wasn’t for the media being in love with this guy, he’d have never made it out of the primaries.

But sadly, he did and even sadder; our sorrow is only beginning.

An entire generation has emerged so spoiled and so steeped in entitlement that they think nothing of trampling upon our founding principles to make sure they get theirs. That in the name of “fairness” they now want to arbitrarily take from one to give to another. Don’t bother earning it, Obama’s going to give it to you.

Obama’s “Country before Party” mantra is shallow at best

Pathetic because while he has been blaming, the Japanese earthquake, the Arab spring, the Libyan uprising, the “manufactured” debt-ceiling crisis (his debt by the way), high gas prices, low demand, etc..etc…etc… he forgot to blame the one person truly responsible: himself.

Had Obama not had a full two years to shove at the American people one carp piece of legislation after another the old “do nothing Congress” Harry Truman might hit a nerve.

But the facts are he did have those two years, it’s HIS policies and regulations that are holding back this economy, and if it wasn’t for a few principled House freshmen the debt-ceiling would have been raised without one dime of cuts and nary a word of debate on the most dangerous enemy facing this nation since World War II.

Sorry Mr. President. You’re as wrong on this issue as you’ve been on practically every other since you entered office. There are many patriots putting “country before party” at this very moment.

White House press secretary, Jay Carney yesterday referred to the Senate’s “pro-forma” sessions as but “gimmicks” that the President had every right to ignore to do the will of the American people when they, the Congress wouldn’t.

While the White House position makes good political sound byte and plays well with the focus groups on Chicago’s south side, it makes for absolutely terrible policy and precedent for future generations.

…..Barrack Obama is a result of decades of mentoring by the likes of Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.  Barrack Obama’s political strategy and tactics is ripped straight from Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” where the end always justifies the means, no matter the consequences….and….is doing everything within his power (and some power he doesn’t even have but is doing it anway) to dismantle the very foundation upon which this great nation was built.

One man’s Congressional “gimmick” is another man’s “check” on the usurpation and amassing of extra-Constitutional power.  It is that one document and it’s fully intended to be used checks and balances that has from our founding separated America from Banana Republic status………Those “gimmicky” checks and balances protect the minority, restrain the majority, and secure freedom and liberty for all, not just the political in power at the moment.

It is not a “concept” that Obama can just brush aside because he disagrees.  It is a fundamental founding principle that he will soon learn, he should have never taken so lightly.

Between the debt, the explosion of the federal government, suing states just trying to enforce their own borders, imposing EPA regulations that will kill whole industries, attempting to take over the healthcare sector, embracing the Muslim brotherhood while shunning the Dalai Lama and Israel, stonewalling American viable energy production while pouring billions at political “green” projects and on, and on, and on, is there ANY doubt that Obama is doing EXACTLY what is described in the video?

Obama has and will continue to implement the far left policies that have but only one end: FAILURE.

America crossed her Rubicon last night as she followed her incumbent President into the arms of European styled government and expanded entitlements.

As Caesar so prophetically stated over two thousand years ago: “alea iacta est” – the die is cast.

Marching under the flags of “fairness”, “social justice”, “I want mine”, and “you owe me”, Obama’s minions turned their backs on the history they no longer even bother to learn and gave de Tocqueville his due.

The tipping point has occurred. As of November 7th, 2012, there are now more Americans who wish to demand more from their country than they care to contribute to it.

Obama’s distraction and division successfully united one hyphenated voting bloc after another into a coalition of takers that ultimately proved unstoppable.  Whittled away, piece, by regulatory piece, tax after confiscatory tax, the producers at last succumbed to the inevitable.

Obama won his first term by trashing Hillary Clinton and dividing the Democrat party against itself.

He then spent that first term solidifying his bid for a second by pitting one American against another with one polarizing attack after another.

And he won his second by fomenting a summer of discontent, demonization and demagoguery on a scale never before seen.

On October 30, 20008, Barack Obama boldly declared: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  And for the next two years, he, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid sat about doing just that. ……………..

…………….The Founders gave us a constitutional republic for a reason.  That through its checks and balances, its restraint on federal power, and its emphasis on individual freedoms over collective coercion, the United States of America for which they had sacrificed so much would not be easily destroyed.

I’m all for discussing a more “civil” – “bi-partisan” America, but if the aforementioned questions illustrate the America you want, than yes, I proudly admit that I will be as partisan and uncivil as need be to ensure that your America, that “transformed” America, does not become my grandchildren’s living hell.

…..Why the history lesson?  Because in this day of instant gratification and our humanity tethered to our technology it’s helpful to be reminded now and again of just how hard the fight and how long the time it took the Founders to craft the framework of freedom and liberty we enjoy today.

So if these power struggles are nothing new, why the sudden uproar over President Obama’s use of executive power today?

Because as Johnathan Turley, Shapiro Chair for Public Interest Law at George Washington University,(and supporter of many Obama policies) warns that in the context of the power sharing that the Founders intended: “What’s emerging is an imperial presidency,…….. What’s troubling is that we have a system that has been stable precisely because these are limited and shared powers. This president has indicated that he’s just not willing to comply with some of those aspects.”

This past summer the Gallup organization released its latest American’s Confidence in Government survey.  Needless to say, if you were a member of said government, your numbers were anything but good.  The Supreme Court came in at 30, the Presidency 29, and that political playpen known as Congress had an abysmal 7 percent confidence rating.

Protests may be starting anew, and questions may still abound regarding the attacks upon the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the consulate in Libya that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others dead but that has not deterred President Obama from keeping his campaign schedule.

4 years ago I warned (October, 29, 2008) of the dangers should Barack Obama be elected President of these United State of America:

……….Less than 48 hours ago I wrote on the dangers of ignoring the lessons of 9/11:

And tonight I can only worry as I realize that the very man I warned about 4 years ago has now been confronted by the very evil I wrote of just yesterday.

I worry not because 4 Americans are dead on yet another 9/11 from yet another planned terrorist attack.

I worry because the man most responsible to ensure their safety, the President of these United Sates of America, thought so little of them that their deaths and the cause of their deaths weren’t even worthy of interrupting his campaign schedule.

The rumors abound as to why.

Churchill represents English colonialism which young Obama was brought up to hate.

Churchill was nothing but an overweight blowhard who was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

I suggest it’s a far, far simpler explanation:  Churchill just makes Obama look bad.

Churchill was a leader, Obama’s a celebrity.

Churchill had vision, Obama can only see one “View”.

Churchill inspired and unified his nation, Obama can only demagogue and divide.

Churchill stood for the very best of the human spirit, Obama destroys that spirit.

Churchill despised government dependency, Obama thrives on government dependency.

Churchill had the foresight to warn of Hitler and the Iron Curtain, Obama can’t see past his next lie.

Why did President Obama go to bed as usual during the Benghazi consulate attack that cost 4 American citizens their lives but now brags about pulling an “all-nighter” in Vegas for his re-election campaign?

The sad truth is that we will probably never know those truths.

Obama’s sure not going to explain why his campaign schedule and a good night’s sleep was more important than protecting Americans trapped in a terrorist attack and so far no one else is talking…..

….From what we DO know, Hillary Clinton and her State Department could shed light on much of it, but so far has shown her priority to be more about protecting her legacy than it does about doing her duty.  (Well, she IS a Clinton.)

The lie put forth by President Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the Benghazi terrorism of 9/11/2012 was the result of an anti-Islam YouTube video was used in a CBS/AP story posted within hours of the attack.

Howard Baker’s “What did the President know and when did he know it?” question during the Watergate hearings has been used in one form or another in reporting on every scandal and non-scandal since.

And while the phrase obviously applies to President Obama and Hilary Clinton in regards to the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya a new, not so obvious twist on the phrase was discovered while researching my “Character counts” column.

But again, what millions don’t know is that he also had scribbled a note case Operation Overlord was a failure. (See opening pic) It was short, simple and to the point:

My decision to attack at this time and place was based upon the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that Bravery and devotion to duty could do. The above is the mark of a true leader. Accepting full responsibility for failure. A mark that to date Barack Obama has missed by a mile. A mark that he continues to miss.

Most recent example laid bare for all the world to see is one of the United States most advanced drones now on display by the Iranian government.

The facts are still not all in as to HOW such a high tech piece of secret military hardware fell into the hands of our worst enemy, but there IS one fact regarding Obama that we do know.

Our current Commander in Chief was presented with options to destroy or retrieve the drone before it fell into Iranian (and ultimately Russian and Chinese) hands.

Millions around the world now know his decision.

Yet as I write this tonight, the President of the United States of America is laughing it up with celebrities and lapping up the applause.

Can someone, anyone, please tell me how Nixon covering up a stupid break in is worse than a sitting President subletting the cause of the deaths of 4 American heroes to underlings so he can bask in the lights of New York?

I bet $10,000 dollars of Romney’s money right here and now, that never before in American history has a sitting President so disgraced the office as Barack Obama did tonight.

Bowe Bergdahl and a White House unhinged

The CNN feed was reporting that 5 years in captivity Army Sargent Bowe Bergdahl had just been rescued by U.S. Special Forces.

But my “Hell Yeh!” of the good guys sticking one to the Taliban quickly turned to a giant wrench in the gut as I realized that CNN’s definition of the word “rescue” was nothing close to Merriam-Webster’s.

As the broadcast continued I learned that Bow Bergdahl had not been rescued at all. He had instead been released in a trade for 5 top Taliban commanders being held at the Guantanamo Bay prison.

I was stunned. I had studied Barack Obama for years, and I knew he was hard core left but I never dreamed he would actually allow a blind adherence to ideology to put American lives and national security at risk………..

…………Never mind that Obama ignored the rule of law, or that the first two spin attempts, “Bergdahl was in immediate health danger” and “the Taliban threatened to kill him” have both now been proven false. The truth is always the first casualty in political warfare.

But in his arrogance to defend his mistake at all costs, President Obama is destroying something even more valuable than the truth: credibility within the ranks of the military he commands.

And that is the worst casualty of all.

And just exactly which “phony” scandal is Mr. Obama referring to anyway?

Is it a phony IRS trampling over the Constitutional rights of an as yet untold number of individual Americans and political groups?

An administration that had not problem one keeping WWII vets from their own memorial, allowed a coalition supporting illegal aliens to rally for hours on the benefits of why breaking the law as your first act into this country should be of no consideration.

But as low as that action was, the administration broke its own record the very same day.

In a move that previous generations could not even imagine as possible, the Pentagon announced that it would not be paying the $100,000 death benefit to family members of fallen soldiers and the grieving would be on their own for burial costs.

The Corner finds no problem with someone having such a simple minded opinion, but DOES find fault with the ignoring of the pertinent facts as they are right now, today, at this very time.

Those facts being that if this nation truly is on a “road to oligarchy” it has been firmly placed here by none other than Obama and the democrat party.

Look at the definition again. “power……..held by……..elite………small minority……..serve……own interests”.

Over, and over, and over, poll, after poll after poll shows the liberal left a distinct “minority” in American politics. Said “minority” comprising of, (surprise, surprise) an inordinate amount of academic and political “elites”. “Elites” who by the use of their “wealth” ensure that their government “serves” them and their “own interests”…………..

…………….But to add insult to injury the President (who sat in the pews of Jeremiah Wright for twenty years and never heard a racist or hateful sermon in any of them) had the gall at last Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast to lecture those in attendance that Jesus would approve of his government and his policies.

For me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’ teaching that “for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.”

The act of a government plutocrat justifying his political philosophy by invoking Jesus Christ as his ally is about as “oligarchical” as one can get. I mean really, if you want to talk the “elite” of the “elite”, Jesus Christ has to be at the top of any list.

Some were shocked and saddened that a President of the United States would turn a traditionally non-partisan event into a campaign speech for re-election.

But they should not have been. For when your entire life has been and still does revolve around a philosophy that it is the “government” that is responsible, not the “individual”, such statements and attitude are no longer shocking, nor surprising. No, the only word that truly applies to Obama’s speech that morning is hypocrite.

For while he arrogantly assumed that Jesus was on his side, he conveniently forgot to mention the fact that in his own personal life (according to his own released financial records) he,Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, Jesus’ new found BFF, has for years now failed to give even the minimum 10 percent of his income that Jesus DID say was his and his father’s.

So the next time you come across a rant or diatribe from the left wing loons side of the aisle that this country is “on the road to oligarchy” because of “Citizens United” or some other Goebbels type corporate scapegoat, fear not.

We’re already there.

Our children do not need more technology or educational theory, they just need teachers. And those teachers must be freed from the shackles of bureaucracy and red-tape. But those teachers must also want to and fight for those changes.

This January will mark the 2nd anniversary of their Commander in Chief referring to ISIS as a “jayvee” team that has since graduated to a varsity squad amassing the largest territory and flushest treasury than any terrorist organization in history.

Yet when questioned by reporters about his lack of strategy against ISIS, Obama chose instead to attack his political opponents for suggesting that in light of recent events, (and that one of the Paris terrorists appeared to have posed as a Syrian refugee), we might want to re-think bringing thousands into the United States.

The irony of the President mocking his political opponents as being scared of widows and orphans when his own policies and inaction have created untold more of them during his tenure may be beyond cruel, but it IS quintessential Obama. (Better to deflect and blame than accept and lead.)

Faced with that lack of Presidential prudence, the House of Representatives put forth a bill on Thursday to add additional safeguards to Obama’s plan. Prior to the vote, Speaker Paul Ryan asked a simple question: ”Don’t you think that common sense dictates that we should take a pause and get this right?” to which 289 (including 47 Democrats) answered in the affirmative.

Senate minority leader Harry Reid has already promised a filibuster in the Senate and the White House has threatened a veto should it make it past Reid’s obstruction.

Every President has a right to his own personal beliefs, he is not however entitled to ignore his oath.

……But alas, Eisenhower was ignored and we now face an Administrative Regulatory Complex more powerful than he could have ever imagined.

What started as an agency here, a program there, has grown into a very separate and most decidedly unequal fourth branch of government.  Complete with armed paramilitary forces and thousands of like-minded bureaucrats answerable to no one but their own, it gets bolder with each passing day.

As a dear friend recently put it:  “Who’s government is this anyway?”

For the past four years Barack Obama told anyone and everyone regarding his health care “reform” that “If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan, If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.”  And on many of those occasions, Mr. Obama ended his claim with an emphatic “period”.  No “if’s, and’s or but’s”, no “qualifiers”, no “clarifications” needed, just a simple “If you like, you keep”.

For those who actually read the Affordable Care Act when it passed and who followed the regulations formulated in its aftermath they knew the claim was a lie.  But those reporting such facts were met with motives impugned and character questioned.

Only now, only after millions of Americans are getting cancellation notices for health plans they like and want to keep is the main stream media finally reporting the details behind the debacle.

Such policies are the antithesis of American ideals and freedoms as we’ve defended them since our founding and in no uncertain terms bad for the nation.

Barack Obama also happens to be half African-American. African-Americans voted for Obama in 2008 with a 96 percent backing.

Therefore (in the left wing of the asylum anyway) the reason conservatives are so passionately against Barack Obama today cannot have anything to do with his policies, it must be due to his race.

………Dorian Johnson, the man walking in the middle of the street with Michael Brown that morning of August 9th, told the story that Office Darren Wilson, with one hand, took 6’4” Brown by the neck and pulled him through the police cruiser window, that officer Wilson shot Brown in the back and that he (Brown) had stopped in the street, put hands up and shouted “don’t shoot”.

And with the flip of a television cmera “on” switch, Johnson’s lie was sent on its way.

The truth never had a chance.

…….The meme that came out of Johnson’s lie, “Hands Up – Don’t Shoot” has become the phrase du jour of anyone and everyone with a grievance.  Whether the grievance is based in fact is no longer relevant, only that one “feels” aggrieved is the new standard……….

……….But in the end, it is neither the lies nor the speed of their travel that is the problem. It’s not even that we so easily get caught up in them.

The real problem is that when the truth finally does arrive, rather than inviting it in, we slam the door in its face.

When OV-104 Atlantis returns from it’s last mission in the coming days it will mark more than just the end of the shuttle program.

It will mark more than just the end of an era.

It will mark the beginning of the disamntling of an infrastructure that took more than half a century to build and provided some of the most advanced technology known to man today.

If an idle mind is a wasted mind, President Obama and his complete lack of vision and courage has just created a wasteland of human capital greater than any President before him.

The thousands of NASA employees now being laid off as the shuttle program ends and the Constellation program being cut off at the knees.

A wasteland of knowledge that once released shall never be recovered…………

…………….But sadly it’s not just the space program Obama is destroying.

Take a look around, unemployment up, gas prices up, food prices up, government debt up.

Every negative one can think of is going up, while every positive is on that one way “slide to mediocrity”.

There was a time in this country when we stood for more than just the buck. When we put our collective brains together and went from drawing board to moon walk in less than a decade.

Those people are still here, that spirit still lives. All that is needed is the leadership and vision to stir it once again. While we know Obama is not that leader, we can still hope and pray for 2012.

The country was warned by this columnist and many others not to fall for his rope-a-dope rhetoric back in 2008. Three years later we are paying the price for not heeding those warnings.

But perhaps the saddest point today is that this nation will be paying that price for many, many years to come.

The place was a generic piece of concrete known only as launch pad 39A, the date was July 16, 1969, and the time was 9:32 a.m. EDT.

At that moment, the valves opened, liquid oxygen and kerosene started to mix, and 7.6 million lbs of thrust began separating man made machine from its Earthly tethers.

Thrust so powerful, fire so roaring, that the front row seats to that history were positioned 3 miles away to protect those witnesses from what even today is still the most powerful machine man has ever built.

By 9:45 am, that most magnificent of a machine had shed over 95 percent of its weight, was 116 miles above terra firma and traveling at a speed of over 17,000 miles per hour………

……….And then we forgot.

We forgot so completely the meaning behind Kennedy’s challenge that as I write this column a United States astronaut must hitch a ride with the Russians to enter the very same space America once ruled.

Which begs the question:  What will be written of us 45 years hence?

Will it be how we re-organized and re-measured the best of our energies and skills or how we traded the hard of yesterday for the easy of today?

Will it be that this was the time of commitment restored or the beginning of our end?

I know what I wish, yet I fear what will be.

Obama first called for Assad to go in August of 2011, and reiterated same in the months that followed. Yet in a June, 2012 meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Obama drops the “Assad must go” and calls for a “political process”, only to wipe that out two months later with the “red-line” comment bringing on a year of ambiguity and indecision not seen since the Carter years……….

…………..If there is but one thing Mr. Obama does in his last 3 ½ years in office let us all hope it is to start choosing his words more carefully.

Else his rhetoric delivers a devastating reality.

In one moment the President implores us to feel the pain of innocent children and support vengeance for the evil that could perpetrate such, and yet in the very next tells us “never mind” I’m now asking Congress to delay its vote to give diplomacy a chance to work.

Nowhere throughout his entire speech does Obama reconcile the obvious: that even if the life line Russian President Vladimir Putin through him Monday does somehow manage to corral and contain Assad’s chemical weapons, not one person responsible for all those lives cut short will get even a slap on the wrist as punishment.

Because, as the years pass and the living from that time pass on, the lessons learned from the mistakes of that time are far too easily replaced with a recycled naiveté of our time.

Naiveté that says an American President can draw a red line one day, erase it the next and there is no consequence.

The naiveté that believes a Russian land grab in Crimea today is not taken straight from Hitler’s Sudetenland playbook of yesterday.

The absurdity of an administration that while it trades Taliban terrorists for a deserter and releases more to fulfill a campaign promise, it contorts itself into a pretzel to avoid saying the words “Islamic terrorists”.

And because, in the coming months, this country faces the very real possibility of our own Neville Chamberlain stepping off Air Force One and declaring that he has just signed a treaty with the Islamic Republic of Iran ensuring “peace for our time”.

(No word yet from State if the dead are actually still dead since technically they were murdered by ISIS and not a government.)

So the next time you hear some pompous politician smugly declaring “that’s not who we are”, remember the Assyrian Christians and ask yourself; with all our history, with all we’ve fought for, with all we stand for, if we won’t help them, then just who the hell are we anyway?

Just who are we; that in this, the 21st century we won’t lift even a finger to protect those that have been with us since the 1st?

I don’t know who’s America that is, but it certainly isn’t mine and I seriously doubt it’s yours.


Obama administration finally admits what world has known for years: ISIS = Genocide

On the cover of the May 3 – 9 2014 issue of The Economist magazine is an illustration of an American bald eagle, tethered atop a globe as a fire’s glow and smoke rises behind.  The headline is a simple:  “What would America fight for?”, the sub-title:  “The question haunting its allies.”

That issue was published barely three months after President Obama had watched columns of ISIS fighters in pickup trucks stream across open desert on their way to the Iraq city of Fallujah and had not only done nothing then, but followed it up three weeks later equating them to a “J.V. team”…………..

…………..Kerry’s pronouncement by no means makes the Christians and minorities suffering under ISIS brutality any safer today than they were yesterday, but it is a promising first step.

For the hundreds of thousands of victims already dead or brutalized and the centuries of history already destroyed, it is sadly a day that has come years too late. But it need not be a day in vain.

We owe those still hanging on that from this year forward, March 17 marks more than the death of St. Patrick.  That 2016 is the year history records as the year America and the world finally, more than seven decades post Holocaust, backed up the words, “Never Again”.

The day after Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged that the ISIS terrorist group was indeed committing genocide against Christians and religious minorities, Belgian police arrested Salah Abdeslam, the mastermind of the November Paris attacks that killed 130 innocents.

For whatever reason, authorities felt compelled to tell the press that Abdeslam was talking and four days later Brussels became the latest city to endure an ISIS bombing.  As of this writing, 31 more victims have been added to its scroll of death and history will most likely record more…………….

…………..LESSON 1:  If you capture a terrorist mastermind, it’s probably not a good idea to broadcast to the world and his fellow conspirators he’s leading you right to them. …………..

ISIS victims deserve more than Obama’s 72 mass graves

Political correctness dictates that I warn you now that if you are overly sensitive to truths not in line with the meme that President Obama is the greatest President ever, you should stop reading immediately.

This is not a “we’re all Americans, we just need to get along” column. This is a column about right and wrong; duty vs dereliction; country above self, and of a President who failed all each and every step of the way.


70 years ago, four soldiers of General George S. Patton’s Third Army came across a clearing in the woods northwest of Weimar Germany and discovered the horror that we now knows as Buchenwald.  It was here that a young Elie Wiesel would finally see freedom and it was here that Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg wrote that liberated inmates began making handmade signs with but two words:  “Never Again”.

………….In December 2013 and January 2014 ISIS terrorists were convoying across open Syrian and Iraqi desert in plain sight.  Sitting ducks for United States air and naval power to pick off at will. But lucky for ISIS the American Commander in Chief was on his annual Hawaiian vacation with world events as far from his mind as far could be. ………….

………….This isn’t about America being the world’s cop, this is about an American President copping out.  At every critical juncture in his Presidency when Obama found himself between American interests and his political interests he consistently chose the latter, and people died because of it.

The dead have no voice but the living, and whether it’s from mass graves in the Iraqi desert or manicured cemeteries here at home, they deserve to be heard.  And I for one will apologize to no one for giving them that voice.

Some of you reading this will question why on this day of remembrance I take such a partisan tone.  The answer is simple:  I owe it to that soldier on the cover.  I owe it to every other soldier since then.  I owe it to every man, woman and child in this great nation that feels we do not need to accept decline, that we do not need to accept mediocrity, and that we most certainly do not need to accept a federal government intruding upon every aspect of our daily lives.

In the past decade since 9/11 we have gone from a few deranged lunatics launching attacks from the outside, to an army of minions undermining us from the inside…………..America was not built upon oppressive government regulation, she did not grow from class warfare ideology, and she most certainly did not reach the pinnacle of human civilization to be torn asunder by an incompetent community organizer and his gang of thugs.

There have been more “analyses” presented by more “experts” as to the “cause” of 9/11 than a mere mortal could ever read in a lifetime.

But not a one of them include the two most important lessons to be learned:

1. That evil is real, it exists, and it is always but a moment away from changing our lives forever.

2. The evil unleashed on 9/11/01 did not just instantly appear in those planes in the sky that September morn………

…..History is littered with warnings missed and signs not seen. The names of the dead a constant reminder of man’s folly not to see what is right in front of him.

And yet while I write these words today, we haven’t learned one damn thing from 9/11.

While a new evil thrives in plain sight, we are no more willing to make the hard choices today than we were in the pre 9/11 days.

Even though it has made its intentions perfectly clear, even though its resolve is clearly known, it’s “déjà vu all over again”.

Yet another administration, dictated by politics and frozen in fear, refuses to see the reality right in front of its face. Too cowardly to confront, it coalesces around appeasement while the concessions mount and time runs out.

9/11 at 15: We’ve made it worse

On the morning of September 11, 2001, pure, unadulterated evil appeared on the door step of the United States of America.  It did not knock; it did not ring the doorbell.  It blasted its way into our history with a depravity of soul unfathomable to the civilized world.

Not since the Imperial Navy of the Empire of Japan turned a peaceful Pearl Harbor Sunday into a cauldron of death on December 7, 1941 had the nation witnessed such callousness for human life………

……….The result is a federal government that has become the antithesis of our founding framework.

Individual liberty and personal privacy is no longer a natural right enshrined in the Constitution but rather a novelty that our overseers in D.C. allow us to have from time to time as they see fit.  We throw billions of dollars at an entrenched and bloated Transportation Safety Administration that’s great at patting down the handicapped and humiliating Grandma but as test after test reveals, not so good at doing what it was formed to do……………

………….The sad fact is that on this 15th anniversary of the worst attack on the American homeland in our history, the only concrete thing we’ve accomplished is to add an additional $14 Trillion of debt onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.

The American citizen has less freedom, the American military has more threats, and the nation itself is being ripped apart at the seams by political forces hell bent on turning us as far away from our founding principles as possible.

I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I most certainly know that if something doesn’t change and change quickly, the America that I was born into, the America that I know and love, the America that, despite her flaws, has still done more good for this world than any nation in the history of mankind will be an America in name only.

Laying wreaths on a memorial and saying a few words “in remembrance” doesn’t cut it.  If the thousands no longer with us are to have not died in vain, it is up to us, the living, to reverse the self-destructive course of the past fifteen years and restore ourselves to the days before we compounded tragedy with tragedy.

We know it’s where we came from, we know it’s the safest and most secure place we would ever want to be, yet try as we might, each time we try to return, the political winds just blow us farther away and further off course.

Not yet even 35 years of age, the author of that document, Thomas Jefferson would pen some of the most immortal words in human history:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,…”

The idea that government power rest not in the government itself but with the people “granting” said government went against every “established” academic thought of the day.

It was bold, it was brash, it was purely American.

I have no doubt that on some things, (the abolishment of slavery, equality for women, the incomprehensible improvement to human life America has contributed to the world) those signers would be proud and pleased.

I also have no doubt that the breadth and scope of today’s federal government and its reaches into every aspect of American life would be just as abhorrent to the Founders in our time as King George’s edicts were to them in theirs.

And while these men were by no means saints, the ease with which the executive branch today disrespects the truth to gain power would have them absolutely livid.

Yet for all of that, CNN still was no match for Harry Reid and his Senate Democrats.  For the 2nd time in as many weeks, 42 of them once again chose the cowardly path of filibuster rather than vote on record for Obama’s Iran deal.

Yes, two days before Constitution Day 2015 a political party put protecting itself and its President above the public’s right to a vote and history’s right to a record.

An ideological press is an impotent press

For all the ink and pixels dedicated to those top stories to date, the reporting has leaned far more to the “mobilize public opinion” towards one particular ideology than the “speak truth to power” envisioned by our forefathers.

Is it not surprising then that the Gallup organization’s latest trust in media poll (September 28, 2015) reveals that only 4 in 10 Americans have “trust and confidence in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately and fairly.”?

Thomas Jefferson warned of such over two centuries ago when in an 1807 letter to Tomas Seymour he noted: “The press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood.”

If the “press” is ever to regain the public trust and provide the reporting that we so desperately need, it must find a way to let go the constraints of group think and embrace the freedom of independent thought the Founders intended.

Else, it and us will remain forever impotent against those who wish to rule over us.


Kennedy’s strength overshadows Obama’s weakness

Yet as the world approaches one of its most dangerous moments in decades, and on the very day that White House press secretary Josh Earnest had to respond to an Iranian ballistic missile test with “We have seen Iran almost serially violate the international community’s concerns about their ballistic missile program,” CNN didn’t even think it worth a mention.

Climate change, Wall Street, and the NRA, were the villains of the night while ISIS was ignored and Syria got less than a single 400 word exchange between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Adding to that embarrassment, the very next day Iran released video footage of dozens of ballistic missiles and launchers sitting safe and sound in a tunnel 500 meters below an Iranian mountainside.

Contrast that with the history of 53 years ago this very date when a young American President was secretly meeting with Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Gromyko regarding U2 reconnaissance photos showing Russian ballistic missile sites under construction in Cuba.

Four days later, October 22, 1962 President John F. Kennedy informed the nation of the specifics and their gravity.

2015: The year I wish I didn’t know

Thank God this was not the generation of D-Day and Iwo Jima.  We’d all be eating sushi and bratwurst.

So deep is the hole that political correctness has buried common sense that not only is such asininity now commonplace on college campuses across the country, the academic industrial complex that runs them gets away with charging tens of thousands of dollars a year for the privilege to be offended.

And lastly, I know now that for tens of millions of Americans, their anger at such pathetic excuses for leadership and education has reached a boiling point. A boil so rolling that they now see a boastful, blustering New York real estate tycoon as the only alternative to the lunacy the political left has created.

The only thing I’m absolutely certain of this year? There’s a long list of things I know now that quite frankly, wish I still didn’t.

If you are reading this then my time truly did come and I really have marched on. As you’re looking around noticing that nothing is in order, chaos abounds and common sense is nowhere to be found know that humans alone choose how to spend and define their time. If chaos reigns, it’s all theirs. Their time, their choices, their results…………..

………………The millions that came through Ellis Island were of a different time in a different world. There was no massive welfare state draining the national treasury and the unskilled labor was actually needed. Assimilation wasn’t just a word, it was a way of life. Putting the old country behind, learning English and becoming American were the critical components that made our “melting pot” society the unified national force that saved the world when it was needed most.

Over the next year, you’ll hear much, see much, and be tugged in every direction. Believe nothing at first, look behind every sound bite, and when you walk into that voting booth in November to choose the 45th President of these United States, take with you the words of the 40th, Ronald Wilson Reagan:

“If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.”

And that kid, holds true no matter what year you’re in. So please, do your best to help em along, the world needs those damn Yankees now more than ever.

30 miles southeast of Las Vegas is a little thing we call Hoover Dam.  2,000 miles to the East is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. 700 miles North East of it, the Lincoln Tunnel and 2,900 miles back to the West, a Golden Gate spans San Francisco Bay. Scattered between these purely American icons in towns and villages across the country are literally thousands of schools, post offices, and courthouses that all share the common thread of history and the era of the Great Depression …………

…………At the start of 2009, the debt of the United States stood at a little over 10 trillion dollars.  Today it is just shy of 19 trillion and projected to double 2009’s 10 trillion amount sometime within the next two years.

As a grandchild of New Deal era grandparents I grew up in constant awe of what they did with what they had.  Not a day goes by, that I am still not amazed that for only a tenth of just what we have borrowed these last 7 years, let alone actually spent, how they left us a legacy none compared.

And I am disgusted that for all the trillions stolen from the future, our grandchildren’s children won’t have even one tangible project to look back on and feel the pride in past accomplishment that we can today.

Scalia: Hypocrisy eclipses history

………If President Obama wanted a truly historic legacy his nominee would retain the balance of the court.  But when the President’s own schedule in any given week shows that the two most likely questions on his mind are “what’s the weather and when’s my tee time?” I sadly realize that history doesn’t have a chance against hypocrisy.

An 8 member SCOTUS will not destroy the Republic

There will be much “the President has the right” screaming over the coming months but all need to remember the makeup of the Supreme Court is solely a job for Congress.  There is no constitutional mandate that it be 9.  It has been as low as six, as high as 10 and FDR even tried to expand it to 15.

While I strongly believe a nominee should get a hearing, I’m even stronger in the belief that in this polarized environment an evenly divided Court is not the end of this Republic, but rather may be just exactly what it needs.  John Marshall didn’t get his 4 – 0 decision siding with an ideological clique, he did it through logical argument.

And if the 8 current Justices now have to re-examine their own arguments in the vein of Marshall and re-focus on constitutional consensus would that really be such a bad thing?

Time to restore FDR and Rockwell’s Four Freedoms

Just what is freedom?  To our founding generation it meant simply to be free from a government putting the wants of itself over the will of its people. Or more famously put, the desire to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

Our founding was anything but perfect. Slavery was legal and equality of the sexes was the equal belief among the males that the females had no public voice. Yet by the standards of the time, the belief that a man should be able to just be left alone, free to live his own life in the manner he saw fit was, as we know now, literally, a revolutionary idea…………..

…………..We are in one of, if not the, dirtiest, most divisive Presidential campaign in our history and I certainly understand the desire to withdraw in disgust.  But withdraw is not an option.  The political left has been painting over FDR’s four freedoms for so long that they are barely recognizable today.  Which leaves a simple choice:  Either use 2016 to restore Rockwell’s canvas or watch as the inspiration that rallied an entire nation in ’43 fades away right before our eyes.

Wilson’s income tax now America’s nightmare

The brainchild of the father of the progressive left, President Woodrow Wilson, the 16th Amendment to the Constitution and the federal income tax that it ushered in, forever changed the balance of power between the people of the United States and the politicians of Washington, D.C. Never again would the federal government be without a steady flow of revenue upon which to gorge.

For the heroes of the left – Wilson, FDR, Obama – the rate is never high enough, the revenue never sufficient. And the buffet of pandering that fills misguided voters heads with the promise that their government sponsored utopia is just one more tax hike away is never ending…………..

…………….America has been marching to the drum beat of Wilson’s “more government” for over a century now and all it’s achieved to date is a $19 trillion and counting debt piled on the backs of our grandchildren.

Modern tactics can be traced back to the 1992 Bill Clinton Presidential campaign where political soldier George Stephanopoulos and Clinton spouse Hillary ran the “war room” formed to squelch all the “bimbo eruptions” of Bill’s infidelities Their tactic of “politics of personal destruction” is now the norm for political campaigns…………..

…………“The white middle class may like the idea of Trump as a giant pulsing humanoid middle finger held up in the face of the Cathedral….“the Establishment,” but nobody did this to them. They failed themselves.”

And this:

“The truth about these dysfunctional, downscale communities is that they deserve to die…Morally, they are indefensible…..Forget your sanctimony about struggling Rust Belt factory towns….The white American underclass is in thrall to a vicious, selfish culture whose main products are misery and used heroin needles.”………….

……….The First Amendment grants us all free speech, but I find nowhere in its text that the American taxpayer is required to grant free rides to publish it.

Our Flag deserves more protection

…………..So when I see today images here on American soil of cowards hiding behind bandannas burning and desecrating our flag while proudly waving the Mexican flag and demanding rights to which they are not entitled, I don’t just get mad, I get livid.

And that those thugs are only allowed their flag burnings because of a 1989, 5 to 4 divided Supreme Court decision illustrates just how critical this upcoming Presidential election.

Because as Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Thomas Ritchie, September 1820, warned: “The judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working underground to undermine our Constitution”.

So no matter how disgusted you may be with either Trump or Clinton your vote in November will determine what court will be ruling over us come Flag Day 2017 and beyond.

On November 8th 1994, the United States of America had a mid term election whose results literally shook the world. Two years into the first term of Bill Clinton and almost a year since Hillary Clinton’s, the Health Security Act, was presented to Congress on November 20, 1993, the American people delivered to Newt Gingrich and his fellow “Contract with America” Republicans a victory not seen in modern political times. 34 incumbent Democrats were defeated and House Republicans garnered a 54 seat gain giving them their first voting majority in over 40 years. ……….

……………..The calendar may show the year is 2016, but last Thursday, at least in regards to Britain and the European Union’s edicts coming out of Brussels, it just as easily could be 1776.

Congratulations my English cousins. You showed the world that sovereignty still matters and the fire of independence still burns. There’s millions of us over here “across the pond” hoping November 8th, 2016 turns out the same.

America at 240: Will she make 250?

240 years ago today, the phrases “When in the Course of human events…and…We hold these truths to be self-evident…” were ushered into the annals of human history when the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the final draft of “The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America”. ……..

………….Eleven years later, the end result of their ’76 Declaration, The Constitution, was signed and sent out to the states for ratification.  Combined with the Bill of Rights four years later the foundation was laid for the freedoms we enjoy today.  Freedoms that sadly all too many take for granted while others work diligently to undermine them. ……….

……………….Yes, that is a sitting federal judge openly declaring that he just doesn’t see much value left in the very document he took an oath to support and defend.  He even ended with “in short, let’s not let the dead bury the living.”

Judge Posner’s arrogance seems to have blinded him to the fact that those “Eighteenth century guys” are more enlightened from the grave then he could ever hope to be.

From his “sappers and miners constantly working underground to undermine our Constitution” to referencing the Constitution as but a “mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary” to the ultimate danger of judicial supremacy placing us all “under the despotism of an oligarchy”, it was none other than the author of the Declaration of Independence itself, Thomas Jefferson, that foresaw exactly the coming of the judge Posner’s of this time and the havoc they would wreak.

No Judge Posner, the problem isn’t Eighteenth-century dead guys burying today’s living; the problem is 21st century judicial arrogance killing off yesterday’s wisdom.

Happy 240th America.  And here’s to your 250th….if you can make it.

ObamAlinsky: No apology for Romney ‘felon’ comment

Unable to run on his own record, President Obama has so far made it clear that he will be faithfully following Alinsky’s RULE 10 all the way to the election:

“If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”

The meaning behind rule 12 is especially enlightening when it comes to Obama’s adherence to it. In summary:

Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Cruel, indeed, disingenuous, no doubt, 100 percent pure Barack Hussein Obama, absolutely.

They know they didn’t…if, if..you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own, It, it didn’t get there on your own, I’m always struck by people who think, wow it must be because I was just so smart, there are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else, let me tell ya something, there’s a whole bunch of hard workin people out there.

It’s the complete socialist philosophy wrapped tightly in a few dozen words.

Don’t think it’s “fair” to “link” the President of the United States to non-repentant domestic terrorists?  Fair enough, ignore that part.

But you cannot ignore the President’s own actions. From the legislation he has pushed to the executive orders he has implemented, Barack Obama has done more to expand the reach and scope of the federal government than any President since F.D.R.

And to add insult to injury he’s bankrupting us while doing it.

So who’s the “real” radical?

A President who believes that we are all just parts of the government collective and that collective is what defines America? That America as founded is inherently “unjust” and “unfair”?


The millions of Americans across this country who believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility and who subscribe to the philosophy of the original “radicals”?

You know, those “right wing nut jobs” like Washington, Jefferson and Adams……….

…………..The words of George C. Scott’s “Patton” speech appropriate at this time:

“…….Now, there’s one thing that you men will be able to say when you get back home. And you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now when you’re sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee, and he asks you: “What did you do in the great World War II?” You won’t have to say, “Well, I shoveled shit in Louisiana.”….”

An Academic Thanksgiving: American sin and Nazi founders

I must confess, I will NEVER understand the machination of the far left mind. But “thankfully” there were a few brave and hardy souls 392 years ago that started the whole process so I don’t have to.

If the America Jensen so easily loves to hate, was truly founded by those truly as evil as the Nazis, I wouldn’t even be writing this column for there would be no column to expose……..

………..We think nothing of punishing an idiot that would falsely yell “FIRE” in a crowded theatre, yet we do nothing to idiots like Jensen who start fire after fire of falsehoods and hate across our entire society?

I’m certainly no rocket scientist but that just doesn’t add up in ANY math book. (Not even the first grade one that Obama uses.)

Which brings me to closing this column with one additional question. A question I don’t have the answer to, but a question we all need to be pondering more:

Why is it that “progressives” feel they can only “progress” by “reverting” to hate?

Southern Poverty Law Center’s ‘hate report’ inspires L.A. Times ‘hate speech’ editorial on ‘patriot’ terrorists

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s latest ‘hate’ report and the L.A. Times editorial board, Americans now have as much to fear from ‘patriot’ terrorists as we do Al Qaeda.  If using ‘hate speech’ to promote a report on ‘hate’ was a Pulitzer Prize category, the Times would be a shoe in this year.

………..But just in case you hadn’t picked up on the left wing b.s. in the body of the edit, that last line says it all: “these groups should be closely monitored…..”

Law abiding, concerned, American citizens who see their own government undermining the Constitution and the freedoms of future generations, and are doing nothing more than exercising their rights under that same Constitution are, according to the LA Times editorial board, a “threat” and need to be monitored and hunted with the same priority as a foreign terrorist.

No, LA Times, the danger is not the “patriot” groups but with far left groups like the SPLC being given “mainstream” status and promoted as legitimate by you and yours.

How many times has “right wing extremist” or “Tea Part radical” been used in a shooting headline as a possible “cause” only to be proven false?

Yet when a REAL “left wing extremist” like Floyd Corkins II carries out a terrorist attack against the Family Research Council and admits using the Southern Poverty Law Center’s own “hate” map in planning his attack the silence is deafening.

Is not the greater threat to America a “press” that pushes an agenda rather than promoting the truth?

The Brothers Tsarnaev vs. Ayers, Dohrn, Boudin and Weather Underground

Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are the names of the news today but as horrific as their act of terror was, their actions are an isolated anomaly when compared to the likes of Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Kathy Boudin and other “heroes” of this nation’s political left………

………….For when the political correctness is peeled back, when the spin is stopped, when the lies are exposed for exactly what they are, the only difference between the Brothers Tsarnaev and the radical political left in this country today is one justifies it’s terror in religion, the other in social justice.

Both hate America as founded and the freedoms she represents.

Both despise traditional Judea-Christian values and want them replaced. One with approved bureaucracy, the other with anointed theocracy.

Both demand adherence to ideology without question or thought, doctrine over debate.

Both attack their critics with cries of racism, hate, and intolerance.

So the next time you hear the whines of “why” and the cries of “how” Boston could have happened, do yourself and your country a favor and realize that it’s not just radical Islamists who are out to destroy America:

It is not new, it is not going away, and it is being instilled into malleable minds all across this great nation one campus, one classroom, one “professor” at a time.

Since the first shots at Lexington and Concord that April 19th of 238 years ago, each and every generation of Americans has done its part to ensure that her freedoms and her liberties endured to the next.

They did theirs, it’s time we did ours.

On November 21st, 2013, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D, NV) used a straight party line vote to undo a check on executive power purposefully imposed by the men who founded his position.

On December 3, 2013, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing entitled “The President’s Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws”.

Supporters of President Obama and Senator Reid, cheer the former and sneer the latter.

Students of history and Cnstitutional scholars fear them both…….

….John Jay and his contemporaries took the danger of arbitrary, concentrated government power so seriously that they gave us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to combat against it.  Unfortunately even they could not foresee the corrupting influence of “fundamental transformation”. They chose then and the choice remains ours today:  honor, country and check on power – or – party, agenda and unfettered government?


Harry Reid: The absolutely, positively most un-American Senator

Terrified that the Affordable Care Act and its tsunami of unintended consequences is going to return him to minority status Reid took to the floor of the United States Senate last Wednesday and declared that when it came to the ACA…“Despite all that good news, there’s plenty of horror stories being told. All are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.”

After a groundswell of contempt forced him back to the Senate floor to “clarify”, a defiant Reid went off:

“What is going on with these two brothers (Koch’s)…You see, when you make billions of dollars a year you can be as immoral and dishonest as your money will allow you to be. It’s too bad that they’re trying to buy America, and it’s time that the American people spoke out against this terrible dishonesty of these two brothers who are about as un-American as anyone that I can imagine.”


Saul Alinsky lives on as Obama, Reid, Holder, Clinton et al follow his ‘Rules for Radicals’ line by destructive line.

Senate Democrats cowardice dishonors all

Yet as terrible as Obama’s Iran giveaway is, Senate Democrats Thursday found a way to sink even lower.  On the eve of this 9/11 anniversary, 42 of them voted to hide behind a filibuster rather than have history record their vote on the single most important foreign policy document in years.

From Valley Forge to Vicksburg, Bastogne to Baghdad, to the 9/11/01 sky above Pennsylvania, hundreds of thousands of Americans have paid the ultimate price that freedom would endure. That 42 Democrat Senators did not even have the courage of their cowardly convictions to cast a vote for the record dishonors each and every one.

Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy would not just not recognize their beloved Democrat party today, they’d disown it.


It’s the policies, stupid. Time to demand from Obama: “Just WHO are YOU”?

If there has been one constant to the Obama Presidency, it is his penchant to prefer rhetorical venom against, instead of reasoned discussion with, when it comes to critics of his policies.  Be it healthcare, economics, immigration, or just expecting he follow the rule of law, disagreeing too loudly with that which he is handing down guarantees yet another condescending “That’s not who we are” lecture.

Just once I’d like to see him asked:  “Well, Mr. President just who are you?………….

………….It’s not words that are getting Americans killed, Mr. President, it’s your own failed policy.

You planted the seed for ISIS when you ignored sound advice and bugged out of Iraq, you gave it a safe space to grow with your disappearing “red line” in Syria, you sat idly by as its “JV team” convoyed across open desert to Fallujah and Mosel, and then you made it worse by hamstringing our military with PC rules of engagement.

If only we could get you as fired up against the terrorists as you do against your critics, we might actually win this war.

You have 7 months left until January 20, 2017 Mr. President.  You can keep trying to shut down debate with your straw man climb to a false moral high ground or you can do your job.

Sadly, I fear the odds on the latter are slim to none.
