Obama’s presser presses bounds of believability

Obama gets his WNBA ring (White House Photo/Pete Souza)

During the opening remarks of his press conference Wednesday morning, President Obama stated:

we’re reviewing government regulations so that we can fix any rules in place that are an unnecessary burden on businesses.

Obamacare, drilling moratoriums, EPA utility regs, NLRB attacking Boeing, thousands of pages of new financial regulations on the way, and growing the federal government by over 25% in just two years aside it’s TRUE.

But what’s even more unbelievable is that they hypocrisy runs so deep within this man he said it not only with a straight face but as if he actually meant it.

Dear Leader stated:

Right now, Congress can advance a set of trade agreements that would allow American businesses to sell more of their goods and services to countries in Asia and South America.

(Just don’t dwell on the fact that the agreements with South Korea, Panama, and Colombia could have been passed in his FIRST year in office but he and his Democrat majority refused and even recently Obama held the hostage for more federal money for his expanded trade adjustment assistance program.)

The President emphasized:

But what I have done — and this is unprecedented, by the way, no administration has done this before — is I’ve said to each agency, don’t just look at current regulations — or don’t just look at future regulations, regulations that we’re proposing, let’s go backwards and look at regulations that are already on the books, and if they don’t make sense, let’s get rid of them.

Quit laughing. Yep, it’s also TRUE. Any bets on if any of those “nonsensical” regulations will be found any time soon?

Regarding the National Labor Relations Board attempting to keep Boeing from opening its new plant in South Carolina:

Essentially, the NLRB made a finding that Boeing had not followed the law in making a decision to move a plant. And it’s an independent agency. It’s going before a judge. So I don’t want to get into the details of the case. I don’t know all the facts. That’s going to be up to a judge to decide.

Again, as hard as it is for anyone knowing the facts to believe, it’s TRUE. The President actually presented his NLRB, the same NLRB that he stacked with union advocates through recess appointments as an “independent” agency.

Multiple Choice:

Over the past three months what activity has President Obama engaged in more than any other?

A. Golf
B. Speeches on his accomplishments
C. Attend political fundraisers
D. Meet with Congressional leaders on the debt crisis

Hint: It sure as hell ain’t “D”.

Answer: If it ain’t “D” what difference does it make?

But don’t feel too bad for our Dear Leader.

Even with all the pressing matters of national importance, you will be relieved to know that the President still found time in his schedule to welcome the WNBA Champion Seattle Storm to the Rose Garden and deliver remarks honoring LGBT pride month. (Man, that being President thing must be really, really, hard.)

You know, Geoff, I was one of those who joked (warned?) back in 2008 that electing Obama would amount to Jimmy Carter’s second term. Now I almost feel like calling former president Carter and apologizing. For while Carter was clearly incompetent and far, far out of his league, one at least got the feeling he was trying. Yes, with the exception of legalizing home brewing, nearly every decision he made or policy he implemented was wrong in nearly every possible way. But you still at least felt he believed he was doing the right thing, no matter how incorrect he was.

But with Obama, you get nothing of even those minuscule redeeming qualities. You simply feel he’s lying, that he has no clue what to do and doesn’t care, so long as it doesn’t interfere with his golf schedule and he can still sit in that cool chair in the Oval Office. It’s all about the power. He’s in the ultimate community organizer position, and he loves the perks without wanting to do the work. And worse yet, he has that ever-present liberal attitude, that one that leads him to believe “I can look right at you and lie to your face, because you’re far too stupid to even recognize that i’m lying”. We see that same attitude in our local libs. Fortunately they are inconsequential. They can have their egotism popped by simply pointing and laughing at them, and they can be reminded how harmless and impotent they are simply by having someone start a blog that exposes their strange combination or arrogance and lunacy through their own words. When someone with actual power does it, however, it’s infuriating.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public, especially those who have decided that living their lives on someone else’s paycheck is just wicked awesome. Never underestimate how gullible a populace can be when they have abandoned any pretense of ethos or logos and rely solely on pathos to drive their lives. And yet with all that, there are encouraging signs that the majority are finally, FINALLY waking up to the fact they elected someone who wanted the job title without the work, who has absolutely no skill or competence for the job, and who has no business at all being allowed anywhere near any position of authority, let alone the White House. There’s still time for liberals to bribe them back in line with promises of even more money they did nothing to earn, but for now it appears that “one term” may be the only happy parallel between this administration and that of Carter.

You have just written a new post for the Corner with that absolutely right on comment.
Mark Halperin said it best when he called him a dick. Never mind Halperin thought his words would be deleted in the seven second delay, and never mind when he found out they weren’t he immediately apologized. Obama’s skin is so thin he had Carney (what a name for this White House press secretary, a “carney”.)pick up the phone and tell MSNBC, “hey, boss ain’t happy, what ya going to do about it?”
And of course MSNBC caved to their golden boy and Halperin got suspended.
Then, just 24 hours after ripping into Congress for not staying in Washington and working, Dear Leader jetted off for two more political fund raisers.
This country truly cannot stand a second term of this narcissist liberal demagogue.
When history records this President his picture will not appear next to Obama, it will be permanently affixed to Hypocrite.
