Friday Follies: Scarborough/Obama, Bush/Hitler, School starvation & Uniform hysteria

September 12, 2014

A faux conservative Joe Scarborough joining the King of hypocrisy Barack Obama, a DC school teacher confusing Bush with Hitler, Michelle Obama still starving school kids and an Army officer denied entry to his daughter’s school because he was in uniform? Yep, it’s Friday and “Tis that time once again when we take stock of the inane and foolish put upon us by those forced to navigate life with an amount of gray matter just slightly larger than that found in your average toad”

#5 Now sports are the cause of culture corrosion: First up this week we have MSNBC’s token conservative Joe Scarborough in yet another of his soap box rants. Only this time he wrapped it all up in one big hypocritical bow. Opening this morning with the cause du jor of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rice and domestic violence, Joe went on a screed against the NFL that would have made Howard Dean proud.

Only problem is that when it comes to women and violence, Joe’s record ain’t exactly spotless. All you have to do is Google “Joe Scarborough dead intern” and you’ll find over 15,000 links pertaining to the story of an up and coming GOP Congressman from Florida barely into his 4th term abruptly resigning for “family reasons” and a 28 year old intern named Lori Klausutis who worked in said Congressman’s Fort Walton Beach field office.

Ms. Klausutis was an active, healthy young female who one night just fainted in the office, hit her head and was never more to breathe the purified air beneath Scarborough’s wings.

The story never got the coverage it should have because at the time the media was in a frenzy over the Condit/Levy case and less than two months later came 9/11/01. So Scarborought got off without a real investigation and Lori Klausutis’ death turned into a cold case.

For the record and the lawyers, I’m not accusing Scarborough of anything other than being one lucky s.o.b. that circumstances at the time let the whole thing never get the press attention that it deserved. But the way the police so quicklly wrapped it up, the now disgraced medical examiner, the surprise resignation before hand, it all makes for an L.A. Confidential script better than the original.

This is the same Joe Scarborough who just last May ripped into Bill Clinton on air when the Monica Lewinsky – Vanity Fair article came out.

Now I completely agree that Bill Clinton is a snake and in any other universe but the Democrat party of today would be banished from public life for the never ending list of unwanted acts he’s perpetrated against women over the years, but for Joe Scarborough to go on a morality rant about violence against women when his own closet never got the look see it deserved is about as hypocritical as it gets.

#4 More Michelle Obama lunchroom hell Oh how we all love our First Lady. Ever so concerned about our little ones, the not elected to any office took it upon herself a few years ago to eradicate childhood obesity by getting her husband’s sycophants in Congress to pass school lunch regulations that as usual, seemed oh so reasonable and liberally progressive on paper but turned into just another government mandated nightmare when put into practice.

This weeks installment of Michelle’s Cafeteria Wars comes via and tells of why Minnesota’s largest high school is expelling her and her regs:

There’s a sign in the lunchroom of Minnesota’s Sartell High School: Students can choose two packets of barbecue sauce, or three ketchup packets, or two ketchups and a mustard, or just one packet of mayonnaise.

And it gets worse:

“All juices must be 100 percent fruit or vegetable juice, or diluted with water but no added sweeteners,” she said.

Elementary students are now limited to 8-ounce servings of milk or juice, and middleschoolers are limited to 12 ounces, reports.

Snacks are now limited to 200 calories, while full lunches cannot exceed 850.

And worse

Meanwhile, at Minnesota’s largest high school, officials have already determined that the nonsensical federal lunch edicts are more trouble than they’re worth.

Wayzata High School officials dropped out of the National School Lunch Program this year, along with a lot of other schools in many states, because the one-size-fits-all regulations don’t jibe with the school’s diverse student body, CBS reports.

“We’re trying to make sure they get enough food, because if they are athletes, they are here at six in the morning until at least six at night, so they are hungry,” Sue Johnson, the school’s cafeteria coordinator.

Bottom line? The goal may have been noble but once again, in true liberal fashion, the method could not have been more wrong. Another federal mandate, hundreds of more regulations and guidelines, and in the end they all do nothing because the children and their parents when faced with starving their kids or sending them to school with their own lunches that they will actually eat, will choose the later each and every time.

If it were a Republican administration trying to force this crap on the dear little ones every network nightly newscast would be leading with “The Republican War on Children”.

As it is, it will just be the usual excuse: “People just don’t know what’s good for them, but in time they will learn to accept that government knows best and will do all in its power to ensure that they comply.”

#3 DC teacher has sixth-graders compare George Bush to Adolf Hitler Imagine that. A teacher in the public school system located right in our nation’s capital having not a second thought one about sending her students home with a Venn diagram and telling them to show where President George W. Bush and Adolph Hitler contrasted or combined in regards to War and Peace.

Marc Thiessen, former speechwriter for President Bush said it best:

“A person who can’t tell the difference between George W. Bush and Adolf Hitler shouldn’t be teaching children,” Thiessen told “This isn’t even political bias, this is utter incompetence.”

But since the district is the D.C. school district, and since we all know the teach is deeply apologetic about her lack of judgment (in getting caught), nothing will happen to her other than being ordered to apologize and the district will send out a letter to parents.

I am willing to bet that the teacher in question is one of those 38% that still support Obama.

#2 Army officer denied entry into daughter’s school because uniform might ‘offend’ students This could easily be the top Folly of the week but, well, Obama’s still President so it got bumped.

From the Washington Times:

A U.S. Army officer from Rochester, Michigan, was denied entry into his daughter’s high school by four members of its security staff, told that his uniform might “offend” some students.

“Before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you’re not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren’t allowed because it may offend another student,” Lt. Col. Sherwood Baker’s wife, Rachel, told a local Fox affiliate.

Another public school, another incident of disrespect to our men and women in uniform, another example of a system so infected with political correctness that our founding principles and the Constitution no longer need apply.

And of course, the only result is a letter of apology from the school Superintendent.

Until some of these educrats start losing their jobs over such vile and despicable behavior not only is nothing going to change, it’s only going to get worse.

But worse than that is the fact that today’s Democrat party base is filled with people like the Bush/Hitler teacher and the Superintendent overseeing a “uniforms are offensive” school.

People that enjoy their freedoms and liberty without even a thought as to the men and women who secure them and the sacrifices made to protect them.

#1 Obama Schedule || Friday, September 12, 2014 Ok, ok. Technically a “schedule” is not Obama the person but I’m taking artistic license this week. If the schedule is for Obama, and about Obama, and reflects the activities, movements and priorities of Obama, then well, I say it pretty well IS Obama.

Keith Koffler runs the White House Dossier website and does a great job keeping those of us desiring to be kept in the know of the ups, downs and all arounds of this administration. Part of that service is posting the Presidents daily schedule. Below is Friday, 9/12/14:

10:00 am || Receives the Presidential Daily Briefing

11:20 am || Delivers remarks at the AmeriCorps 20th Anniversary Event; South Lawn

3:20 pm || Departs White House

3:40 pm || Arrives Baltimore

3:55 pm || Tours Fort McHenry

5:55 pm || Appears at a fundraiser for Senate Democrats; private residence, Baltimore

6:30 pm || Departs Baltimore

6:50 pm || Arrives White House

I repost my comment on Keith’s site for clarification:

I was reading down the time list and couldn’t figure out why Fort McHenry, then I saw the fundraiser and it all made sense. Drop by the fort on an “official” visit so the taxpayers pick up the bulk of the tab for his fund-raising expenses. He is worse than pathetic.

And there you have it. It’s not enough that the community organizer turned grand golfer with apologetic tongue can’t even say the words “radical Islamic terrorists” or admit that if ISIS is at war with us then we can be pretty sure we’re at war with them, or that he can’t stay off the campaign trail for even a week while the world is collapsing around us.

It’s that while he’s asking the American taxpayer to cough up $500 million to train the Syrian free army, he, the Commander in Chief, tacks on a Fort McHenry “official” visit so he can stiff us for the cost of his travel to yet another fundraiser.

That folks is some really serious, really high powered, really elite of the elite hypocrisy you just don’t witness very often. (But fear not, he’s got two more years in office, I’m sure there’ll be plenty more.)

And that’s it for this week. As always, have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by and I’ll see ya round the Corner on Monday.

Thanks for the outline. All of these things cannot be overlooked.
I have stated this before there is so much going on, it all gets swept under the rug.
